2006 Kia Optima
There are 7 user reviews for the EX V6 trim shown below
- Great on fuel, smooth ride, great sound system, roomy and comfortable, many features
- Could have a more adjustable lumbar support
After driving an SUV for 5 years, I was looking for something with better gas mileage, safety, fair price and features. I bought an Optima EX V6 and love it! I also test drove the 2006.5 and the ride was hard with road noise. The 2006 is a quiet smooth ride and handles nicely. The price was great along with an awesome warranty. Gas mileage at first check was 25.33 mpg....read morehide

- Looks good and drives great.
- I wish it got better fuel economy.
I bought a 2004 Kia Optima EX V6 for my wife in May of 2004. We love our car. It rides good and runs great. I have not had any problems with our Kia I just do the regular maint. We saved $10,000 to $15,000 compare to a BMW or other cars in that line.

- Great comfort and pretty good fuel ecoonmy -- almost 20mph around town
- Other than cruise control not lit on steering wheel at night, I have had no problems!
I really love my '06 Kia Optima! It has great comfort, plenty of leg and head room for taller people, and plenty of trunk space... it drives and rides like a dream. I chose a sunroof and this was my treat to myself for the something extra! I was really surprised how little noise and air flowing that comes from the open sunroof. If you are looking for a classy car for its money and are worried about gas economy.. check out the Optima's. You will be surprised all the extras that come with the car. I have only had my car for 4 months and get an average of 20 miles per gallon around town and had 25.7 miles for a long trip. I know you will be pleasantly surprised as I was!...read morehide

Im on my 2nd year with my ex v6 2004 optima and so far no real complaints. Im glad to see KIA addressed the ride issue in their new optima, but I think the styling took a turn for worse. The new optima looks more like a spectra.

- Excellent Value...very comfortable...excellent warranty!
I am thrilled with my Optima. I love the ride, and the interior is great! I drove a Millenia for years, until costly repairs forced me to trade for an SUV that I really didn't want, but could afford. I finally unloaded that vehicle for the Optima, and it is wonderful!! I have no complaints...service is excellent. I did have to have my keyless remote reprogrammed, but it was quick (five minutes at the dealer) and didn't cost a dime! For the price, the quality is amazing, and the warranty is undeniably the best around. I am certain that there will be more KIA vehicles in my future...it has been a pleasure thus far....read morehide

- Great economy,. Good ride comfort, Good performance. Good dependability
Mine is a 2005, with the automatic transmission, but since the 2006 is identical to the 2006 I wanted to share my experiences. With over 45,000 miles I have had no problems with this vehicle in fact the gas mileage is now better than ever. On my last trip , keeping the cruise set at 80 thru New Mexico and Arizona I averaged just over 28 mpg. It never has a problem in maintaining it, speed on any mountain grade. If you will look at the value of this vehicle and do the math on how many miles of driving it would take to pay for the difference in the initial cost to purchase a high mpg vehicle, you will be driving Optima also. Dont forget to take in account the ride comfort, the performance, and the warranty....read morehide

- ride quality is superb!! build qualty is tight!! Value is incredible
not a better way to spend your hard earned cash.....and peace of mind warranty.....there is a reason for a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty and a whole new feeling that comes along with it 1 is youll be under warranty when its paid off. I recommend this highly!!!
