The car handles so well and i get so many " This is a Kea") . People just cannot believe how stylish and sleek the car looks. I researched various cars in this class from Mercedes/BMW/ Lincoln/ Fusion/ Hyundai and felt that dollar for dollar the Kia Optima was the best value. The only negative is the standard tires are not the best quality and you should replace them with a better quality. I hear the Continental DWS 225/45/18 are great value and from Kia’s Forum really reduce the road noise. The warranty in Canada is 5 years vrs 10 years in the USA and no other car offers that. My dealer threw in free oil changes for life and free car washes for life .I am one happy camper. From the limited colour palates I chose the white with black interior . I didn’t like the red nor blue but the two greys were also very nice. Gas mileage is great takes regular gasoline and all in all ONE GREAT CAR! Now get this I traded in a Lincoln MKZ AWD after driving Lincoln's for 15 years ....read morehide

Driving this 2013 Optima Ex at freeways speeds the steering tends to touchy. I mean it tries to keep car centered with it's steering assist but in reality it makes the driver over compensate for the cars compensation. I feel like I am constantly struggling to keep the car centered in the traffic lanes. I have called Kia on this and have been told it's not going to change,you just need to get used to it. Really not real happy with this response and will write a letter of complaint to the higher ups...read morehide

I purchased my EX TGDI in May 2012. July 26th I was ran into a ditch on Interstate 75 at 75 mph, the car did exactly as it should. Airbags did not deploy because there was no direct impact, side or front. I came away with a torn rotator cuff. The car had $13,500 in damages. It could have been worse.
For safety I give the car a ten. I was hurt but nearly as bad as I could have been. Parts meant to release did, parts meant to stay on did.

I love this car so much I gave my wife mine and bought another one for me. The economy is awesome, handling is great, features are way cool. She has the white and I have the Black Cherry. They are both so cool. I will definitely look at Kia again the next time I need a car. LOVE IT!!!

Awesome power for a sedan, love the turbo. All the extra parts available on e-bay is nice. I put on a front strut tower brace and an injen air intake on my car. The turbo seems to spool up faster & it is much louder now. It sounds cool when you let off the gas to hear the turbo blow off excess pressure. All the options in this car spoil you. The fit and finish is complete. The leather is nice. Can't get these options for these prices anywhere. I've had this car since feb 29th 2012 and no problems at all. Fast, comfortable, sex appeal are just a few things that make this car a winner! Car navigates the winding, hilly, Taconic State Parkway with ease. The controls, when you are in the drivers seat are at your finger tips and well placed for smart, safe use. 4500 miles so far. Of the cars in this price range this by far is the best featured, comfortable and best looking. The acceleration is delayed and when you ease up on the pedal it slows down too quickly. Steering is flat but predictable just like a Toyota. Once going this car is peppy for a 4cyl engine. Lots of room and easy to maintain. When the kids shut the door you can hear the sheet metal warbling. It runs well and I enjoy driving it after a hard day working. Gas Mileage sucks 15 avg 19 hwy. If it doesn't get better I will ask the dealer to take it back(Lease) The siirus sound like a radio playing in a can Yuk....read morehide
