- great warranty, looks good, a lot for the money
- BRAKES BRAKES BRAKES-----
We have had major break problems with this car. Kia just bought it back from us via the lemon law. Our breaks were down to 5%, on 5 occasions over a years period. Not good when you have a child. Dont let the warranty fool you or 5 star crash rating-what good is either when your brakes dont work. This is a known issue on 2005-2006 models and they are still trying to work on a solution.
Go buy a Town & Country and dont get caught in the hype-its cheap for a reason and we figured that out the hard way. I cannot believe this is rated at the top!...read morehide

- sliding doors go downand better fuel milage
- Possible recall issue
Sedona hits 65 to 75 mph and the steering wheel developes a severe rocking and shaking issue. Kia has replaced the front axel, checked the tires and balance. They have no idea whats causing the problem nor how to correct it. 350 miles on my new sedona and Im in a rental car because they cant fix it. The dealer has 4 other sedonas in his shop with the same issue....read morehide

- Great Van
- Just got it!!!
If you read one of these people about buying their van in the winter and telling about the summer???? Well the 2006 was not out yet!!!! There van is a 2004 or 2005. Please read this persons report carefully. My brother has a 2005. They were having problems with but not that bad as some people are writing. Gas mileage was bad on the older Kia van.
Well my 2006 is doing fine after 3000 on the road. Went to Las Vegas 2 times from LA. Handled fine. Gas mileage with a high desert wind blowing at 75 and 80 mph was about 24 mpg. City is about 20 mpg.
This van handled very well with the cross winds. Their V6 has plenty of power.
I own Dodge Grand Caravans. I loved them. I handed them to my 2 childerent drive. I bought the Kia for the warranty mainly. And it is all new. I like the style. Very simular to my Dodge Grand Carvan. Transmittion is good and very smooth. Hey this Van is made here in the USA!!!! My Money went back into the american economy.
Hey Kia is giving the others a run for their money. My ex wife has the new Hyundia same as a Honda accord. That is a very good car now also.
They are both making great cars now!!
Buy this van. It is great!!...read morehide

- Quality manufacturing / close attention to details / most comfortable of all in its class / surprise
- Not as well equipped as the EX / Rear disc brakes sometimes squeal on inclines /
Incredible warranty, best in the world! 10 yr / 100,000 mile PT
Very quiet, well insulated against noise. Can't hear engine running!
Can carry on normal conversation even on highway!
3.8L engine gives great pic up and torque.
Trim is soft and tight feeling and very comfortable, doors open and close super easily even without Power Package.
Superb sound system with eight speakers plus 5 level EQ.
Third row seating easy to stow and set up even with my bad back.
Back seats, even stow-seats comfortable for adults, not just kids.
Side door windows lower to more than 3/4.
Body styling very sleek and areodynamic even with roof rails.
Larger 17" tires, all-season, 12 mo. / 12,000 mi. hazard protection.
Free oil changes for life of vehicle. Buy only the filter.
Fair price for such a well-built vehicle.
Improvements for '06 model were fantastic - longer, wider yet lighter than '05's.
Our dealer was very accomodating and friendly. Whole deal from start to finish took only 2 hours. (worked with Internet sales manager on PC as well. They showed entire stock with sticker prices online for easy shopping and approval prior to going to dealership.)
Best car-buying experience we've had to date.
Would reccommend even over the Toyota Sienna or Honda Oddessy simply because the ride is so comfortable and quiet, not stiff and harsh or herky jerky. Blows American-made vans out of the water! Makes Ford look like a tin can on wheels, I'm sorry to say.
Kia has indeed pleasantly surprised me on this model....read morehide
