- No DVD Entertainment System - Problem Resolved!
The last vehicle we ever thought we would buy. We needed a minivan and we test drove the Sienna, Odyssey, Grand Caravan and the Quest. We were torn between the Sienna and the Odyssey until a friend asked us to consider the KIA Sedona. WOW! Better than the aforementioned, the features were endless and the price was even better. The warranty is truly a benefit, the 244 HP engine with that tiptronic transmission is awesome. But we needed a DVD entertainment system, with Honda, Toyota and Dodge it was a $2000 upgrade! We went and bought a 10.2 overhead DVD player for less than half that, better than any factory model and KIA had it installed FREE! It looks like it was meant to be there. Make sure they install one before delivery as to protect your warranty. If they install it, its covered if you do it later WHO KNOWS, They told me it would void the warranty or something. Anyway we got the EX-LUXURY BLACK ON GREY LEATHER and we all love it. Lots of room for everyone, comfy and quiet. Dont take my word for it compare them all, we did for two months before we jumped into it. Hey, we didnt even know it existed. Safety: Airbags are everywhere!

- much better mpg . as big as odyssey.
- none i can think of yet but will see after we own it for longer period of time.
We test drove this mini van twice at two different dealers. the first was a ex with the power package and luxury package . the second had everything , power luxury and the premium entertainment package . and wow is all i could say. what a step up from the 04 that we used to have. there is nothing i have found on it that i don't like. the flip and fold rear seats in the sedona is very easy to use and in my opinion is easier than the sienna but not as easy as the odyssey. i totally recomend this van to any body that want's/need's a van over a odyssey or sienna because you can get the same features and not pay an extra 2000-3500$ the only thing it needs now is a nav system to satisfy all buyers . but for me it is not an issue for i have never used one and never needed one....read morehide

- First Year with New Motor and Depreciation
I test drove the first Kia Sedona to be delivered in this particular Kia dealership in Sacramento. The salesperson did not know anything about the 06 makeover and so I asked him if I can take it for a test drive. As we left the dealership and to our surprise, the 244 horses under the hood pushed our heads back into the headrest, but more shocking was the smoothness of the transmission and how quiet the motor sounded.
The overall handling of the vehicle was responsive and smooth and all the gadgets for the driver were easy to reach. There is also a mirror in the center console to keep an eye on your children!!!
Lots of storing space in the van for all the passengers and lots of space to move around and to get into the back seats.
After the test drive, I popped open the hood and again was shocked. The engine compartment looked easy to work in, but with the best warranty on the road, who needs to work on the vehicle!!!
The Sedona is a very nice Mini-Van and the looks are comperable to the redesign Honda Odyssey. The standard 17" wheels on the EX models look aggressive and through the wheels you can see the disc brakes. (I think it's cool on a Mini-Van.)
The safety features are excellent too which comes standard with six air-bags, and every safety latch for an infant seat and child seat.
In closing, I have two children and currently drive a 97 Dodge Grand Caravan. The van has been good to us and is now on its last legs. For the price, the safety features, the looks and the horsepower, I will definately buy a Kia Sedona by the end of the year.
P.S. Hyundai is coming out with there version called the Entourage. Same vehicle!...read morehide

My Mom and I test drove the Sedona last week. We were incredibly impressed at all the features for the 31,000 price. I how comfortable the seets are and the door mounted seat controls- like Mercedes. I really don't think the pictures do it justice, it is so luxurious. The one problem is tht our 04 Sedona EX depreciates more then what my parents have paid for it so far, over $5,000. THey are waiting for the depreciation to meet the payments to buy the car. Hyundai has a website link from their site for the new Entourage. I think it looks like a rip offf with only minor exterior changes and the switech from wood to metals in the interior. I don'y like how Kia engineers have spent years researching and developing the car only to be taken and the lights changed by Hyundai. I think the Sedona will be a hit but Hyundai has no idea what they are doing in the Minivan market, they should stick with developing cars, like the excellent Sonata and Azera....read morehide
