Just bought this car a week ago and I am in love! We got the top of the line with all the gizmos on it. Never thought I could afford a car like this but it's so much more affordable than compairative cars. Had a fried who drives a Lexus similar in style and she said she would have loved to have bought one of these as it feels a lot like it. The ride is smooth and when you hit the gas it goes! We got the V6 so yes, more power than the V4 which my mother has. (she loves her's too. It's why I bought mine) We also have the double sun roof/moon roof and my 2 yr old loves that. Mood lighting is kind of silly but fun. Heated and cooled seats will come in handy here in Texarkana! The "no key" thing is sooo cool! I could never find my keys to begin with and now all I have to do is leave them in the bottom of my purse. Really never thought I'd want to own a Kia but Kia is really coming up the last few years....read morehide

Purchased 6cyl for towing--great performer; very good economy.

Cons

Keep tires properly inflated, or a hard ride is ahead. Problem with a leaking oil pan at 16k miles.

We looked at a number of autos, all mid-SUV class. My wife found the vehicle to offer the features we wanted,especially one that would tow our bass boats (18 @ 20 footers), and serve as "second vehicle" status. Fit-and-finish are as good--if not better--than competitors. As a backup auto it has still amassed 20k+ in the first year of use. It has taken "first choice" status in the household. What I thought would be just-another-car has convinced me that we will look at another, second family vehicle from the same company, KIA. We are extremely happy with the Sorento and (as of this date) would not balk at purchasing another. Economy is great!...read morehide

I use to have a toyota matrix, traded it in for this. Absolutely love it we have my daughter who is 6 when my son was a month old decided to look at this loved everything about it other than it being white which i will never do again. Has plenty of room me and my husband shoot bows and arrows has room for both of our bow cases and my sons stroller. We also bowl my daughter has a bag with one ball my husband has a bag with 3 balls and I have a bag with 4 balls has room for all plus stroller which is big. Has hidden compartments in the back which is good for hiding christmas presents hahaha. The only thing I don't like is no temp gage I get about 18 mpg and I live in south florida where you have lights every where. My mom lives in georgia which we are moving there in a few weeks when visiting I get over 22 mpg. Not a lot of lights kinda like hwy driving. When we do get somthing new in a few years I'm hoping to get another one. My husband has a truck and hates cars he loves this he is 6'2 and 280 and has plenty of room weather driving or a passanger....read morehide

I like this suv i live in wv, and i get around 23mpgs all the time... I bought this sorento with the backup camera, fog lamps, they are both very useful... The vehicle was 27700, i think its a bit steep, but for what all is out there it seemed to have the most options and space for the money.. I have one quirk with kia, they need to work on the interior noises, when its cold out, i notice little rattles, and it drives me nuts.. I traded a 2011 dodge nitro in on this, i loved it but was way to hard on gas... overall im impressed......read morehide

Handling and steering are impressive and materials are first rate. We needed room for 2 dogs and groceries and trips to recycling center. This fits the bill easily.

Very firm ride. Seats comfortable and supportive but would like an extra inch of width in the front seats. Good and predictable handling. 4 cyl performs well but understand that acceleration at 65 MPH is not as good as a 6 cyl.. MPG 20-21 city with a modest gas foot and no excessive stop and goes. Cant report on hwy mpg yet.Fit and finish very good.Overall happy with the purchase....read morehide

SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE - KIA SUX FOR SERVICE

We have a 2010 Kia SorentoSLI - Basically I can confirm this car is brilliant - tows the boat like a dream fits all the kids in comfortably using all 7 seats (only whinge would be can't fit a pram in with all 7 seats in use), drives like a dream and is a stylish car inside- HOWEVER!!!! Be warned - KIA SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL- we had an accident in ours (hit a kangaroo) on the 14th of December and it is now April 5th and we still do not have our car back!! No kidding - nearly 4 months and still not repaired - every part required has had to be shipped from Korea & taken as much as 4 weeks to arrive, and when they get the part it hasn't fixed the problem. So almost 4 months on we do not have our car back. Complaints don't work... I contacted head office (Silverwater) to complain about the issue and had a smarta**e reply back correcting me on the name of the part I wrote to them about and basically telling me if I don't like the service take it to another dealer. PATHETIC! Honestly, we really loved this car, but after seeing what happens when something goes wrong (and accidents are not an unusual occurance) and how badly Kia deal with it - We will NEVER buy a KIA again....read morehide

It's better than I thought it be. My EX has everything they make for the car, and I've added a few things since I brought it home. The seats are comfortable with good headroom (I'm 6'4"). Lots of room in the back for tools and ladders. Overall, a real pleasure to drive. Too bad I wasted so time checking out other vehicles that are similar. Good job KIA!!...read morehide

I bought the car about a month and a half ago and I have to say, so far, it has been better than advertised. I really enjoy driving the car. gets decent gas mileage for it's size.
