My first brand new car...great on gas,good pickup,and very affordable..$16,500 out the door. fit and finish is OK. Seats are not very comfortable. Plenty of head and leg room,(i am 5'11). Love the "black cherry" color. Got the 16" chrome wheels and cruise control. (the wheels make a difference in the look of the car). the ride is great around town, but gets a bit bumpy on the highway. So far no problems, hope it stays that way. Check put the Soul, you wont be disappointed if you are looking for a fun car to drive....read morehide

Excellent bargan. You get a lot of features for a minimal price.
Bought as a replacement for Honda Pilot (which is a good SUV but sucks in mpg). Very good room for occupants and cargo. Short wheel base can cause a rather bumpy ride at times but hell, this is not intended to be a highway cruiser.

Great car... Love the space. Love the handling around town but not so much at a slightly higher speed. If you need to transport 4 people, you'll love the room. Put the seats down and you have a ton of room.
Look, if you want leather, performance, power, luxury, you are shopping the wrong car,,, go spend the money and get it but don't expect it here. This has way more value for the money.
I would recommend this and I would do it all over the same. Once in a while you get lucky and make the right decision. Can't go wrong here....read morehide

THE 2012 IS GREAT, THEY SAID, BETTER THAN BEFORE, GOOD 6 SPEED TRANS. GOOD HIGH INSIDE,BUT A LITTLE SHORT FOR LEGS, I DONT SEE THE BENEFIC OF THE ECO, REALLY DONT SEE THE SAFE ON GAS. BEING 2012 SOULD DO AT LEAST 30 MILES ON STREET AND 36 ON HIGHWAY, ITS REALLY NOT GOOD ON GAS.
FIRST TRIP OF 300 MILES WAS VERY UNCONFORTABLE,PAIN IN MY LEGS AND WANT TO STRAIGH OR RELAX AND I CANT DO IT, SEAT VERY HARD, REALLY BAD FOR LONG TRIP, I'M THINKING TO RENT A MINIVAN NEXT TRIP.

per Kiplinger the lowest cost of ownership due to low depreciation, low insurance, low maintenance, low price.
per forbes Kia, Hyundai, and Volkswagon are selling their cars cheaper in the US than in their home countries in order to gain market share. In addition the Korean dollar is tied to the American dollar and is under valued so we get their labor for nothing. I maintain my own cars and this car is incredibly easy to maintain unlike the Germans who make it impossible to work on their cars and make you take it to an expensive dealer. Also the parts for the kia are inexpensive. This is a car that takes care of you and will give back. My last car was a new BMW330I for 90% of my daily driving there is no difference in power and handling!!!...read morehide

We are adjusting from our comforts from our Dodge Durango. Soul needs a bigger console. Also, the pedals are not placed correctly. They need to be more forward so you leg isn't bent so much. It causes fatigue in your leg on long trips. Also the breaks are very touchy. There is no lumbar support, so I bought one. The paint is thin. The body dings easily. I will probably be buying the removable moldings to protect the doors. The side moldings are to low to protect it from another car door. It rides like a truck. When it comes time to replace the tires I will be buying the soft ride goodyears with nitrogen. It's not the best in the wind on the highway. It feels like the wind gets under the front end, especially when you ride along side semis. Bugs really stick to the paint. I will be waxing it soon to see if that helps. In the meantime I use Macquires detailer and the bug juice comes right off and the car shines.

Its a great value for the budget minded who still want options, sportiness and room. We bought the silver plus with the moonroof, fogs, UVO and backup camera. We could not find a ! in the silver with the black interior. Plenty of space for the groceries etc. Overall we love our Kia and look forward to owning it passed the 10 year warranty....read morehide

This is my fourth Kia and I think this is my favorite so far. Kia has come a very long way since the days of the Ford Aspire. Japan and the US carmakers better be watching their backs. This vehicle is nothing but fun.

I bought my new 2012 Soul base automatic in mid September. BRIGHT SILVER. I Love Love it! I was going to settle for the base base manual but once I drove the automatic base I fell in love. I get easily 31+ mpg. I drive city/highway and I drive with a lead foot. Its not over loaded but just loaded enough. Cruise, sports matic, side blinkers, bluetooth, steering wheel controls and ECO. I am sure their is more.This is my third Kia (08 Spectra, 09 Optima) and so happy with KIA. All their cars are great! Even though it only had the hubcaps it sure looks great. (I put customer rims on her, and she is sexy) Her name is ALMA (thats Spanish for SoulI already have almost 13,000 miles on it. and looking forward to many many more....read morehide
