- The thing that I like about this SUV is that it is a different look than before.
- The MPG Is not that accurate. I think I get 16mpg City and 19 HWY
I think if you want to stay in a specific budget, this car is great. The only thing that I can disagree about is it's acceleration. Otherwise, I would recommend this SUV to anyone. I am not lying either. This is a true review. I wouldn't want anyone to lie to me, so I am telling you the truth. ITS GREAT!...read morehide

- ride, comfort,safety
- fuel economy poor but improving
drove this auto 4400 miles in 7 days, had nothing but total confidence in auto. milage began to improve also. drove at a steady 85 mph thru mountains and flat land. speed control kept car at desired speed, altho engine reved up to 4500 rpm with no noticable roughness. if it holds up this could be a quiet winner....read morehide

- Excellent riding comfort, very nice looking and really head turner, very enjoyable MP3 sounds
2005 KIA Sportage delivers the unexpected driving comfort from a Korean car. The design and performance are very much appreciated. A real value for money. Both interior and exterior are excellent, huge headroom and legroom for my 3 grown-up children. Very enjoyable audio system especially the MP3. The large cargo space really deserved our busy weekends. Manageable fuel consumption....read morehide

- small yet roomy, safe and practical
- More power would be nice
I love my sportage. I have had it for about 3 months and have had no problems. The waranty and road assistance is nice . I have taken long trips in it and the seats are the most comfortable I have ever experienced. I shopped around, looked at, and drove all the small SUVs. In an overall comparison (value, looks, gas mileage, room, feautures, warenty, comfort) the sportage was the best pick. I wish the back seats would recline and lay down the other way, though, so it be more comfortable when wanting to sleep....read morehide

- Comfortable, quiet, value,
- Needs more leg room for the 6 footers, slow trans, fuel economy
We bought this car a couple of weeks ago with every option. So far, it's been good with a 1000 miles (500 for the dealer to transport it to Chicago from Kentucky). It's my wife's car, but I've been helping to "break it in". For a V6, I would either expect more power or better fuel economy. We've been getting in the 18 - 19 range with mixed driving. I've seen other articles mention the slowness of the trans to respond, and I've noticed it does have to think about what gear to choose sometimes. However, I have a bit of a lead foot, and for normal driving, it's not an issue. I have to say I've been impressed with the level of comfort, smoothness of the ride, and the quality of interior materials, considering the cost of the vehicle. We looked at all of the small SUV's, and decided to take the gamble with the KIA. The warranty is nice, but hopefully I won't need it. So far, only one small rattle on rough surfaces, but that's the only issue. We opted for the luxury package, which is nice, but should include power seats, a compass, and outside temp guage. She loves it, so I guess that's all I can ask for! I don't regret the decision with the KIA. I just hope it holds out, because my brother-in-law with the CR-V will let me hear it if it doesn't!...read morehide

- Great fuel economy
- doors don't seem to close completely sound
I love my sportage I have had it for over a month now.. No problems. Freeway driving I have gotten up to 27 miles to the gallon. I am not a lead footer. My dogs have doggy seats where they are able to see out the windows very clearly.. Not hot inside. UV protection on the windows. Nice to drive an automatic. Easy to get in and out of. I'm kinda old now a days. I am very glad I purchased this sportage.. My toyota tercel I had before was only 9 inches shorter than my sportage. Can park it anywhere. Just love it.............read morehide
