2006 Kia Sportage
There are 6 user reviews for the LX V6 4WD trim shown below
- Stylish but not expensive, powerful V6, Smart SUV for Smart people
- Nothing that will make your head ache.
The most practical SUV you can get without compromising on quality and style. V6 Engine, AWD, Cruise control, Safety Airbags, Foldable backseat that can be come your bed when camping, ABS system Unbelievable warranty. If you buy Toyota, Honda and other Branded vehicle...most of the money your spending is spent on buying the name not much of the features, quality and service of the vehicle. With my Sportage I just changed my Sudio player to a USB post player, Viper Security System, attached a GPS system then changed my tail light to a sport design one...... And My Sportage becomes a Super SUV!!! (I just Spend below $1,000 for al upgrades I mention). What can you ask for....Smart People would choose A Vehicle that will give value to thier money.... And thats what KIA Sportage is making me... A SMART owner of KIA Sportage....read morehide

- Handles Good on the Road, Good Fuel Economy and lots of room
- No Keyless Remote, but other than that, no complains.
Traded in a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis LS for a 2006 Kia Sportage LX because my car had poor fuel Economy at 14 MPG. After test driving different like the Nissian Versa, Mazada Speed 6, Toyota Corolla, and looking a Ford Cars I decided to go the the Kia dealer ship and look at some Kia. After test driving Five Kia, I founded the Kia Sportage LX with excellent handling and lots of room. Plus I'm getting 20 MPG and 27 MPG on the Highway. I bought it as a Early Christmas gift for myself and I'am gald I made the right decision....read morehide

- Great looks, Low Cost
- Seats not as comfortable, Speedometer #'s need "5"mph increments
I love my sportage. I purchased it about 10 months ago and have had no problems what so ever. It is nice to have a reliable vehicle. I have not driven in the snow with it that much, but seems to handle well.

- Quality, Price, Styling, Ride
- Kia's oprions are standard equipment in many other vehicles.
We bought an 06 Sportage LX V6 AWD 3 weks ago after much research. Olive green exterior/beige interior. This is a great vehicle in terms of quality, price, ride, and handling. My wife and I test drove 10-12 other vehicles from Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Chevy, Ford, and Mazda, but the Sportage won out. My wife hates to car shop and after 3 weekends of test drives and negotiations she was ready to have a meltdown. We laid out all of the brochures and price quotes on our kitchen table, and began to eliminate vehicles based on price, and utility. RAV 4, CRV, Escape/Tribute, Xterra, and Versa were eliminated right off. The Element was a contender but the lack of seating for 5 and the suicide doors nixed it from the lineup. Mazda 5 was an option(great design!!) but it is underpowered with the 4 cyl. and lacks a V6 option. The Kia was the choice for us My wife will be the primary driver of this SUV and 3 of our kids will get toted around in it to school, soccer, church, etc. We take on the road weekends to soccer games through Md., Eastern WV, Western Pa., and No. Va., and so far we have been pleased. The lack of a standard keyless remote and cargo cover kind of irritated us, as these are standard on many other vehicles. The dealer was more that happy though to "throw" these options in to sell the vehicle. Here's how easy the purchase was: We test drove on Friday evening, dealer called my cell on Tues. afternoon(I was in Houston on business ha!), I gave him my out door price with all options, fees, taxes, etc. included, he calls me back 1 hour later and informs me that we're $750 dollars too low on our offer, I tell him that we'll pursue 2 alternate vehicles instead of the Kia and asked him to thank his manager for his time, and that maybe we'll look him up in 3 or 4 years when we need another vehicle. I hung up, and in 1 hour my wife calls me to say that the dealership called and said to come pick up the Kia that evening for our original price with the options we wanted. All paperwork was prepared before her arrival and correct . Wifie signed and picked it up, and is happily cruising in her new SUV....read morehide

- great looks, rides good in high winds, no blind spots, good up and go.
- the seats were not that soft, other than that there is not any.
I test drove a kia sportage yesterday, I drove the 4wd with the v6 and I was just blown away by the preformance. I live in west texas and we get very high winds anywhere form 10 to 30mph winds yesterday was very windy probably about 15 to 20mph, the sportage did GREAT it did not pull at all!!! I have a little Daewoo nubia its a 2000 and I get a lot of pulling in high winds in fact in most windy days I hardly even drive. another big plus for me was that I could see very clear all around me hardly any blind spots, in my car I have tons of blind spots. I put it to the test on going around sharp curves and corners and it just hugged them very well. I felt very safe in this car, in fact I felt like I was part of the car it was a smooth ride the engine sounded good, and there was not any wind noise. The seats were not as soft as I thought they would be, but all of the other things over ride that. Iam planning on getting on just as soon as I can. I feel this is the perfect car for me....read morehide
