2008 Kia Sportage

- The V-6 handles like a large SUV with compact sizes, love the design, the love adjustable seat
- Fuel economy is just horrible, it cost $63.00 per fill up and I might get five days of driving.
The compact design allows me to park almost anywhere. The adjustable seating is great since I'm short, I can raise my seat to look over the steering wheel, good space in back and good for hauling when seats are down. I also have a sunroof that brings in lost of light and you don't have that closed in feeling. I had I 2000 Kia Sportage and was able to hand it down to my daughter for college and she just loves it, so when It was time to buy again I checked out every small SUV made, and I narrowed it down to Saturn Vue, and another Kia Sportage. For what I got with Kia, sunroof, remote starter, 10yr warranty, low interest rate, previous customer instant rebate of $1,000.00, and much more I couldn't see me buying any thing else. I asked Saturn if they could match that, because I really wanted to try something different and they just told me no one gets a deal with use, everybody pays the same and all extras cost. So I'm been driving my 2007 Sportage now for eight months and besides the fuel cost, I'm loving every bit of it.
The 2000 models were slow but reliable and I would joke and always say this is a car for your grandmother, or teenage children. I can't say the same for the new version, I do highway driving and I have to look down and check my speed often. Driving at 85mph is so smooth its like your not moving at all(hence my first speeding ticket)but I'm still loving it....read morehide

- small, turns good, looks good, good fuel for the most part, sterro good.
- belts make noise,no power in wind or climbing hills, noise in engine they can't find.
Nice suv, however it does have problems that they don't seem to be able to fix. Has no power at all when climbing hills or passing. Heavy winds it does not hold well, slips in the snow, have to be very careful. Wish I had not bought this. It looks nice, sterro system is very good, like the sun roof, seats are to short, therefore it cuts on your legs on long trips. Fuel is ok, depends on winds or if you have to climb hills which I do, then there is no power....read morehide
