2008 Kia Sportage
There are 3 user reviews for the LX V6 4WD trim shown below
- Comfortable for tall driver, lots of cargo/passenger room for a small SUV, great price for 4WD.
- Sluggish acceleration for a V6, gas mileage on the low side, LX trim lacks features.
Purchased As New
Having previously owned a 2001 Sportage, this is a substantial upgrade in many areas. Handling is good for what it is, although it is rather sluggish for a V6. Split back seat folds completely flat with hard plastic backs for excellent carrying capacity, and leg room is good in both front and back seats, although it is tough getting a perfect seat position. Fuel economy is nothing to brag about, however, and I would have serious reservations about further compromising performance by picking the 4-cyl version in hopes of geting a couple more MPGs.
The 4WD model is an especially good value, considering what the competition charges for comparable features. Although this version of the Sportage is car-based (unlike the earlier truck-based version) it still has good ground clearance for driving in deep snow. Between the stability control and 4WD, most weather conditions are easily dealt with. Being able to switch to psuedo-manual shifting is a bonus.
A few features taken for granted on other vehicles (keyless entry, MPG display, better stereo) are absent, but considering that this is a 4WD V6 for well below the $20K mark, these are non-issues. This is a more refined vehicle than the early rendition of the Sportage, and the current version is more of a wagon/glorified hatchback that lacks the features that makes this "in-between" version good at what it does....read morehide

- inside has plenty room, smooth ridiong, good feul economy..
- keyless entry should be basic...
even though it's my first suv, it make me feel driving sedan not
suv. compare with rav4 or crv it has more roomy.
smooth riding both town and hwy, best warrenty among selling cars in
us. i drove over 14,000 miles with 2007 sportage, so far have not got
any trouble at all. really satisfied with this. it's really recommandable
for anyone who want to buy small suv. in my opinion it is much
worth to buy than rav4 or crv in procewise value.
need keyless entry and auto head light to be a basic for
around 20k dollars car....read morehide

- Good fuel economy, great ride and very roomie
I always had a sprty car or big muscle truck and do not miss them at all. This rides smooth like a car with alot of the advantages of a truck or SUV. The seats go down so the storage room is incredable!!!
