I hate this thing. I have it floored the whole time Im driving it. I cant wait till I can afford to get rid of it. Great for a kids first car or something not for an adult who has anger issues, and actually likes to drive.

I have had 7 different SUV's since 1994. This is by far the most fun to drive. It was very well designed, and why shouldnt it be? Kia contracted out the design to be done by an AUDI design guy. The steering is fun and gives the feel of a much larger luxury vehicle. The turn radius is better than my last car, but still feels very stable. The interior design is beautiful and well thought out. This is not the same old Sportage. I like the fact that I am not driving a SUV that looks like all the other SUV's. I have not found mine to feel "under powered" at all, like many of the reviews. Compared to a gas guzzling Tahoe or Expedition, I guess it would feel under powered, but compared to the CRV, RAV4 and Ford Escapes I test drove at the same time, prior to the purchase, I can definitely say that it is NOT under powered. My first suv was a Satrun Vue which I did like but was in a rollover & totaled. I have enjoyed this suv so much. The salesman was wonderful...no pressure at all to buy....

I test drove the 2010 Tucson and didn't like it as it was hard to steer and noisy in rear. Waited for the 2011 Tucson, but saw the Kia Sportage and liked how it was packaged. Others complain on rough ride, but the sticker says truck so what do you expect. It really handles great and they have improved the rear end and steering plus I get free oil, tires, and inspections for life. What's not to like? I drove other SUV's and this was the best hands down. Getting 22 city/30 highway....read morehide

sensor failed at 10,000 miles car was stuck in park

I have had it for almost a year and put 11,000 miles on it. It is one of the most fun cars I have owned. Runs like a champ, accelerates like its got something to show, and is very roomy.

The only problem I had was a sensor that failed. It caused the car to remain in park. The dealer was able to tell me how to override the sensor over the phone. The dealer fixed the problem so no harm done. Needless to say my Sportage is not for sale....read morehide

Love it . Love it. Love it. I have owned in last 10 years the Lexus LS430 RX300 ,the Mercedes S class, the Acura MDX , and the list goes on and on. This is my buy best for todays highway at the right price and with great fuel economy. Only bad thing is passenger side view is a bit restricted due to fancy wing mirror being too small. The AWD rides the bumps brilliantly. I would have loved the automatic rear door automatic closer like on many other SUVs . Lastly the air conditioning on both front seats would have been a nice touch. But dollar for dollar who cares....read morehide

I have 12000 mi. on a 2011. very low on power, rides extremly rough, not real happy with dealer.The power steering seems to wonder alot in the wind.
