- Pros
- Great car for snow, cheap, reliable, versatile
- Cons
- Gas (but what do you expect?)
Purchased As Used
I live in Alberta and this car has been absolutely fantastic! I havent had to change to snow tires yet, it literally drives over any kind of road conditions - even on all season tires!! You have to service it once every 7-8 months and thats about it! The rear seats fold down fully flat, making it a great car to haul stuff in. You can hitch anything to the back.
As other reviewers have mentioned, this car does have a small engine for its size, but its still reasonably powerful.
The front brakes are ~60% and rear ~30% - after about 25k miles. Could be because i got this car used, but i dont know for sure......read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Every bit a Land Rover
- Cons
- On the gas thirsty side
Purchased As Used
This thing is built like a tank. The HSE has luxury and comfort to spare. Land Rovers are not for everyone, but if you ate one of us, the LR2 is a dandy

- Pros
- It's a Land Rover
- Cons
- Uncomfortable back seat, terrible gas mileage for the size...
Purchased As Used
I have had my LR2 for less than a year. I think this car could get better gas mileage than it does. I do mainly city driving and I get 17mpg. But I guess that's what I should expect for it being a Land Rover. Next, for the other riders that ride in the back seat they have complained that it'svery uncomfortable which makes me feel bad because I want every one riding in comfort if I can help it in my car.
My car has less than 30k miles on it and I have already had to put 4 new tires on it, which were not cheap. I also had to put all new brakes on front and rear. I did buy this car used, so it's hard to tell what happend before me but I never expected to replace the brakes at such a low mileage.
Lastly, I took my car in for the 30k oil change last week because I am getting close and the Land Rover dealership told me they had to put all new filters on the car and they charged me $400 for the oil change.
For this I would NEVER recommend this car to anyone!...read morehide1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
