When I was searching for a new car, the LR4 was more of an after thought. Then I went for a test drive and that changed everything. It has been a month since my purchase and the LR4 continues to amazed me with every trip. It is quite and comfortable and handles very nicely. It is simply a pleasure to drive. With the HSE option and cold weather package it has all the luxury one needs. I also test drove the Mercedes GL450 and it was too much in terms of technology. The Mercedes was too prissy feeling and not an SUV you'd want to take off road. I also drove a fully loaded Jeep Overland Summit that was priced about the same. The ride was not even close and the smaller cargo area was a deal breaker. It rode a lot rougher and did not have the acceleration of the LR4. The Toyota Land Cruiser I test drove was very over priced compared to the Land Rover LR4 and the third row seats do not fold flat. With the Land Cruiser, you'd basically be getting the same type of vehicle for 25 grand more. I did not test drive a BMW because all of my friends have nothing but trouble with their BMW s. If you are looking to buy a nice SUV you owe it to yourself to at least test drive the LR4. I think you'll be impressed....read morehide

This is a well designed SUV. It is suprisingly comfortable and quite for a large car. It's 375 HP engine give plenty of acceleration. I purchased the upgrade stereo and it is superb. The only downside is it's poor gas milage.Overall an outstanding car, if you can afford the gas!
