My last 3 cars have been BMW's and I was dissapointed by the X5. Drove the Porsche GTS, Mercedes ML and was not nearly as impressed as the Range Rover Sport Supercharged.

Best SUV Land Rover ever built. My last Land Rover was an LR3 and its like night and day compared to that. The handeling and ride is like nothing else. The suspension will adjust as you lean into a turn. very tight. I upgraded to the luxury package. No other car manufacterer has softer leather than LR/Jaguar. You pay a little more but its worth it. This car is quick for a 5600lb car. I have the 4.4/ At speeds over 40 when you hit it , the thing moves. The supercharged version is even better. Gas mileage is better than I thought. I can get 20 mpg running on plus. Not bad at all. If you buy or lease one, you won't regret it

I have had many SUVs in my lifetime and nothing compares to my RR Sport. It is hands-down the best car I've ever owned. Driving is smooth and powerful, features are perfectly laid out, seats are comfortable. Can't say enough about this car.

I got rid of the car at 51k miles based on the many mechnical issues during the 50K mile coverage. My tires were replaced by the dealer due to suspension malfunction. My "compressor or bellows" was replaced at 5k miles by dealer due to malfunction which caused the car to literally sit on its underside while on the highway. The interior is very cheap and low quality. The rear-view mirror came apart after 2k miles. The drivers seat was loose from the date of purchase and would move backward and foward on acceleration and deceleration. The side moldings came loose and detached from the drivers-side door at 10k. Looks great, but not worth it. Highly overpriced for the quality. Running off name recognition only based on the "flag-ship" Range Rover model. LR3 is better value for the money.

I have had this vehicle for 2.5 years and 21k miles. I have not had any problems; not a single factory defect. I abuse this vehicle and it has held up great. Great accelaraton and excellent handling. Comfortable. I have driven it on 5 hour trips without any any issues. It still performs like new. I do not regret buying it.

For those of you wanting to know all of the 'dirt', here are the issues I have had so far.
You cannot colapse the rear seats without moving the front seats up and then they will not go back all of the way making the front leg room cramped. Managable for a short drive, but totally unacceptable for a longer trip.

The headrests in the back seat limit visibility through the rear view mirror when up. If you put them down, they are extremely uncomfortable.

Early on I would occasionally experience some jerky shifts with the adaptive transmission. The dealer reprammed it during one of the scheduled maintainence visits and it has been OK every since. I believe this has been fixed on newer models.

I just took it in for an alignment since it has already eaten up the first set of tires. With the 4 wheel independent suspension, it actually ate up the inside of one of the rear tires first.
Talking to the guys at the tire store, it seems that all Land Rovers are hard on tires.

Lastly, I wish I could disable the front park distance sensors since everytime I start it up I turn them off. As soon as I put it in gear, they go off due to the garage wall or the car parked in front of me.

Whether on the highway or on dirt road, this SUV is the best choice i've ever made!

This is the best handling SUV i've driven. I've had an MDX, X5 and Sequioa and nothing compares to comfort and handling with the RRS SC. Power will blow even a sports car. I drove 500 miles back home when I got from the dealer and it was very responsive especially in Hilly country. I am very happy to have choosen this SUV. Of course, the price tag is $72T and allitle bit steep. But you cannot find a better AWD SUV out there. You can get a wannabee SUV who thinks you can put to the paces of off-roading but this one is made for camping, offroading, fishing and you dont have to worry. If you're planning on retiring and going on lots of driving, this will be the best SUV for you. Never worry about mud, snow or rocks. In fact, I believe its too pretty to do those things, but it would be a waste if it will be just parked in your garage to bring you to the mall and do some grocery. Thats what celebrities are doing. Poor Range Rover.

THE LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT IS AN AMAZING OFF ROADER ANFOR THE ASPHALT. THE ACTIVE AIR SUSPENSION IS GREAT FOR GOING OFF ROAD. ALSO THE TERRAIN RESPONSE SYSTEM IS GREAT BECAUSE IF YOU SEE SNOW OUTSIDE YOU SEE A SNOWFLAKE ON THE DIAL.

THE INTERIOR IS GREAT. THE LEATHER IS SUPPLE TO SIT ON. THE SECOND ROW SEATS ARE COMFORTABLE. IT IS VERY HELPFUL THAT THE REAR TAILGATE SPLITS IN TWO.

THE CURVES ON OUTSIDE ARE SO ELEGANT.

THE DOWN SIDES ABOUT THIS CAR ARE THAT IN THE SINCE THE ROOFLINE SLOOPS THE MAXIMUM HEIGHT IS THAT TALL. THE TOUCH SCREEN NAVIGATION IS SO ANNOYING.

THE SPORT IS AN AMAZING BLEND OF AN OFF ROADER AND A CAR THAT STAYS ON ASPHALT.

this is a beautiful car. I have always had a SUV and a sports car or somehing high performance.
this gives me both. with more than just "all wheel drive" you can really get where you need to go in lousy weather. We live in a ski town and sometimes the roads are aweful this does the job
But on dry roads, this machine is a screamer! Fast, amazing handling and solid on the road. No body roll.
I followed one before I bought one and was driving my A6- S-line. We were going thru the curves at about 120 and the Rover had little if no body roll and was testing my Audi. Had to have one then
