- very quiet cabin, Mark Levinson sounds great, Navigation is great except can't access some menu
- more power is needed, give option to access Nav. menu during driving.
I purchased a new fully loaded ES 330 for my wife 2 weeks ago and she loves it! Everything about the ES330 is great except for a little annoying feature of the Nav. not allowing you to access most of the menu during the car in motion. I have a Nav. on my Honda Odysey and find it very useful sometimes to be able to access the Nav. during driving to find address, or gas station, atm, etc... Ofcourse, we have to do it with caution so not to cause any accident. Then, on the other hand, maybe I am so use to the Honda Nav. (have it for 4 years already)
I think a little more horse power or a little more low end torque would make the ES330 more attractive to a wider buyer population.
Other than that the ES330 is superb! Interior material is very high quality. The cool seat option is great in California during summer time. Cabin is super quiet. Finally, we can carry out a conversation in the car without having to raise our voice especially on the freeway....read morehide

- quiet, good suspension, fuel
- Steering and alignment problems
Once your alignment is off you're on your own. Very hard to align this vehicle. This car has a history steering problems. Either the steering wheel is too loose or not center accord with your alignment specs. Pick your poisons. Overall, great price but horrible with alignment problems if you ever hit a pot hole. And there's a lot of pot holes in NYC....read morehide

- Exterior, Interior, Ride, Navigation, etc. so smooth~
- umm. need lil bit more power. juss a lil.
I purchased my new ES330 w/ full option include exterior materials. and total price was 39k+ and i paid about 38k. I drove it for like 2hours today, it was so smooth and quiet. I love this car's interior and exterior both. Gold Emblems and alloy wheels makes my ES330 look so special. It look like very very upgraded ES330. When you thinking about buying Acura TL, BMW 3series, Benz C, Audi A4, Lexus ES330, I highly recommend Lexus ES330....read morehide

- The entire vehicle is a pro
- No Telescopic wheel and the Price
I would figure that you are considering buying a Lexus ES 300 or already have one. I am a Senior Certified Technician with Lexus. I have been with them for about 5 years. The ES 300 is a wonderful car overall. You have the first generation body style and power plant. This is a car at the time in my opinion that gave you everything you could want for an entry level luxury car. These 3.0 motors hold up very well and aren't prown to mechanical failure as long as you are consistent with your maintence and oil changes. The only negative with this vehicle is a slightly louder whinning noise caused by the vane pump (power steering pump) due to the load demand of running the hydralic fan as well. The pumps do go over time but in most cases you will get more than your life out of them. Major maintence is every 60,000 miles and I have seen these secondary parts (plugs, cap, rotor, wires) last up to 100,000 miles. These cars handle great in the snow and you will feel comfortable behind the wheel. I would suggest a pre-owned vehicle if you are not buying new. Pre-owned may cost you a little more in the beginning but the warranty and having the lexus customer service line behind you will more than pay off if an unfortunate breakdown does occur. I have seen many customers get taken by the used car lots so if you must buy your car from the outside I recommend paying the hour labor rate at the local Lexus shop to look it over before you sign the deal. The ES 300 in 1997 got a new body style and an improved quieter cabin. The leather is replaced in some areas with a vinyl leather material but the vehicle is beautiful to say the least. Some changes were made in the engine area but the core 3.0L motor for keeps. This motor is proven! I personally like the new models better but of course they carry a more significant price. I feel it is worth the few extra bucks. In 1998 the 3.0L motor started getting introduced to VVTi. This is variable valve timing. This gives you more torque at less rpms, which is basically what you feel in your pants when you hit the pedal. If you are looking for an entry level luxury car the Lexus ES 300 blows away the competition. I have Driven every luxury car in this market price from the Audi and Bmw to the Infinity. This is a car you will be happy to own. It is an experience only called LEXUS!...read morehide

- Extremely Smooth and quiet ride. Mark Levinson system is awesome. Comfortable heated and cooled seat
- XM radio is a dealer installed option.
Fantastic car for the price. Everywhere you look and touch you get the feeling of quality. Extraordinarily smooth and quiet ride. Handling and power is much better then some would have you believe. The miles just disappear, you arrive at your destination as fresh as when you started. I suggest you test drive this vehicle to appreciate what it offers. Dealership treats you like they would love to keep you as a customer. Very refreshing. If this continues, I will purchase no other vehicle at no other dealership....read morehide
