- Smooth but powerful engine, looks and feels luxurious, easy to use controls
- Front seating for driver appears little tight, poor fuel economy, weak braking, small trunk space.
I bought this car two months ago and so have had a chance to drive it for a while. I replaced a Mercedes E320 RWD. The greatest thing I love about the car is its pleasing appearance and easy to use controls. The engine is quiet and shifts smoothly. The acceleration is adequate for the most part. However to get the real feel of the 300 HP behind you, I would recommend using the ECT Power mode. Its a different beast altogether with power mode on. The navigation is easy to use and has a high resolution screen with night mode. The parking assist with rear back up camera is a "must have". No more bumper scratches while parking into tight spaces. It is feature packed as you expect from a true luxury car.
What are the minuses if any? Fuel economy is not very good. I have been averaging between 17 and 18 mpg (combined city and hwy). "Don't believe the numbers they show you". But then with a 300 hp engine, one cannot expect any better fuel economy unless there is hybrid engine. Also the rear trunk space is small compared to its peers. The drivers seat may have less head room for some tall persons. I am 5' 10" and had to lower the seat to the lowest level to get comfortable.
It has been problem free so far.
