- Very Sleek Looking Car
- Several Manufacturer Issues
Purchased As New
Front Seats Barely Heat, Front Suspension Rattles, Brakes and Engine are Loud, and Tires have gone flat 7x due to what I am told is the combo with the aluminum rims - none of these issues are admitted to by lexus - excuses galore
Dash Rattling, Valve Noise were both annoying issues that Lexus has eventually decided to acknowledge
For 50k you expect a little higher service and honesty. If I get the same dealer run around I might as well have gotten a Ford.
Overall nice looking car with continual problems that are simply not handled until customers or safety issues force Lexus to do so....read morehide

- Nice interior, smooth ride
- sulfer smell, coolant smell, squeaky dash, Lexus denies everything
Purchased As New
Dash squeak in the cold, there is a coolant smell every once in a while and in the summer if you have the windows down there is a sulfur smell coming from the exhaust. This is a nice car, but with the amount of issues and the price I would never recommend it. Also I have noticed that Lexus dealers are very quick to deny or just use the excuse that its not a big deal when they are approached with issues. Very disappointed in the car and in the way Lexus deals with issues....read morehide

- interior bells and whistles
- squeaky brakes that can't be fixed
Purchased As New
I drive a $50k car that sounds like a $2k car. the breaks squeal constantly. Lexus calls this a 'known issue' but has no solution for it. Look elsewhere for a more reliable car.

- good value
- defective brakes
My lexus Gs 350 AWD has squeaky brakes. Supposedly GS and IS models come with some kind of special brakes that are supposed to be very good but almost as a side effect they squeak and it can't be fixed. Dealership directed to Lexus. Lexus back to dealership. Went to Lexus Club blog and apparently this squeaking is driving a lot of people crazy....read morehide

- comes loaded
- squeaky brakes
GS 350 has squeaky brakes. Apparently it's a very common problem with GS models. Lexus is aware of the problem but there is no fix for it. Every time I stop at the stop light my GS 350 makes a loud squeaky noise. Sounds like an old school bus. Pretty embarassing. It started as a soft noise few weeks after I bought the car and over 1 year progressed to the current sad state of affairs.Took it to the dealership few times. Their answer is that there is no solution for this problem. GS has "high performance" brakes that come with this problem. Supposedly Lexus is working on it. Called Lexus they say as soon as there is a solution they'll contact dealership etc. Wouldn't recommend GS to anybody because of this brakes problem....read morehide

- Great acceleration, comfy ride, very responsive
- Quality problem!!!
Lexus quality is not what it used be. My 2007 GS began making noises in 4 or 5 places when it barely had 500 miles on it. Had to leave the car with the dealer for some 3 weeks! They found some noises were coming from welding problems. To this day, the sunroof continus to make low but annoying noises.
The AWD is great. Very, very firm on ice. I even tried and made a tight turn on fully ice-covered local streets at 15 mph. No slipping at all.
There are many things to like about this car. Just hope you don't experience the kind of quality issues I encountered. Other than these quality problems, the car runs great and is an awful lot of fun to drive....read morehide

- Handling, braking accelaration, Parking assist, stereo,
- interior lighting, non-intuitive Nav and phone programming
Purchased 3 months ago, now 5k miles. Love to drive it and take it out to dinner. Still prefer over the Mercedes E 350, Cady CTS and STS, Acura and Infinity. Might have considered the new Jag XF. Overall I would purchase again.

- Superior interior layout, very quick (5.3 - 0 to 60), nice looking car
Great car and much more fun than I anticipated. Performance has been a great surprise. MPG over first 400 miles is 21 with both city and highway. A great value at less than $50,000.

- Safety features ,handling and performance, comfortable, AWD, Nav
- Poor lighting inside and out, trunk small, drop-down control panel is a pain
I had a 2007 GS350 AWD for exactly one year. In that time, I put 16000 miles on it and loved driving it if all I thought about was the ride and performance. It felt like a sports car.
The styling is a little boring, but from some angles very nice. The interior was lacking in the Lexus feel. The dashboard looked cheap.
Seating was very comfortable, even on long trips.
I was in a offset head-on crash when someone came over the center line into my lane, both of us going 60mph. My car was totalled, but I didn't have a scratch, the only person in the 4 car accident who wasn't hurt. Everything up to the windshield was destroyed, and everything from the windshield back looked completely untouched. The seat belt and bags saved my life without so much as a scratch to me. The engine was even still running after the accident--the fireman had to turn it off.
However, when I replaced the car, I didn't get another one. The things I didn't like were the terrible interior lighting, drop-down panel for controls, which required looking down to even adjust the mirrors, very short headlight beam field (I always felt like I was outdriving my field of vision), and cheap feel to the interior. All minor issues I admit, but they bothered me everytime I drove the car....read morehide
