- Higher fuel economy than expected. Ride, comfort, handling, and performance are supberb.
- Way below average GPS system, A/C in Automatic mode is a joke
Purchased As New
We love this car. In 25,000 miles no mechanical problems of any kind. Our biggest disappointments are the lack of trunk space and no rear seat fold down option that makes it even worse. When the A/C is set in "Auto" mode, the cabin temperature still varies wildly, especially on long trips. It has dual controls, but they are little value when you have a wife that's always too hot and turns her side down to 68 and your side is still freezing at 74. The dual A/C feature seems only to be a selling point and has no real value to the owner.
Gas mileage was a pleasant surprise as nearly every tankful averages over 26 mpg. On long road trips we have averaged better than 30 mpg!
The GPS system is about five years behind currently available technologies from companies like Garmin...and you can purchase an entire Garmin Nuvi GPS unit for less than the cost of one overly priced map upgrade for the Lexus. Your passenger has no access to the unit to search for gas, or restuarants, or do anything if the car is moving at all. ...and Toyota won't give you the option to overide this built in nanny. Remember car phones? The built in GPS units should go the same way! Including this $2500 option was a real waste of money.
