2009 Lexus GS

- Fast and Sure Footed. Feels like it is on rails.
- Feels like it is on rails. Hard riding and even harder entry and exit.
Purchased As New
Purchased because of it's looks and brand name. My wife saw it in the auto show, drove it and selected it for her car. It is well suited for the quick action which is sometimes necessary on our freeways.
However, potholes and even small bumps are a huge problem. We had to replace two of the expensive low profile tires within the first 2,000 miles. They are impractical for normal street driving, and are very uncomfortable. A 65 profile tire would improve the ride and tire reliability a great deal.
Yokahama has set up a special team to handle problems from these tires. They provide no road hazzard guarantees. i.e., It is your fault, not theirs.
Front seat entry and exit is for the young and small only. I hit my head getting in, then again when I have to reach out to close the door. Thinking of adding a pull cord to help close the door. I won't even try the back seat. My wife has no problems getting in and out.
Lexus has provided excellent support, but when the designers place style over functionality and reliability, the dealer can't adjust it.
