- Great Ride and Fuel Economy for a 6 cylinder
- My husband is too tall to fit in it comfortably!
Purchased As Used
Love it! Love it! Love it!
It looks beautiful, and runs beautifully. I have the glacier mica (?) paint finish and people always comment on the pearlescence.
The steering is sports car tight. I get about 26 mpg and use premium gas just about all the time. It's great in the New ENgland winter (AWD). I am a Toyota/Lexus lover from way back! You never have to worry....read morehide

- Luxury Sports Car appointments, good handling, good mileage
- Outdated electronics, poor navigation system, rear passenger and trunk space
Purchased As New
Leased a new 2009 IS 250 AWD fully loaded. Nice vehicle, with some minor refinements for 2009 but its still a 2006 technology platform. Navigation system is worse than a $150.00 portable unit - no text to speech, outdated maps, no traffic etc. Poor bluetooth quality. Feature for feature this does not compare well to vehicles such as 2009 Acura TL with AWD....read morehide

- Compact, sporty, interior fit and finish, dashboard controls, NAV
- Lack of acceleration, average paint job, all bark and no bite
This trim needs more horsepower. Lacks punch. Exterior style needs a face list, a bit bland. Lexus service is great though.

- Beautiful, GPS is the best!!!
- A little crowded in the back!
OK where do I start... I absolutely love my car! It drives really well, brakes are great and react very quickly. I love the heat/cooler in the front seats. Rearview camera is really helpful in parking, bluetooth and GPS are also really helpful when you get lost haha. Impressive car with great safety features. Only problem is the fact that it is a bit crowded in the back, but it hasn't kept anyone from climbing in so I guess its not that bad!...read morehide

- push button start, AC/heated seats, keyless entry, good fuel economy, comfy ride, sleek design
- lack of keyless trunk release
It's a stylish sports car that causes a lot of heads to turn. Back seat will accommodate two adults. If you need more room buy a SUV. Test drove an Acura TL but Lexus easily won the comparison test. Love everything about my IS!!

- Great drive, great sound system, good on gas, great looks
Just bought this car after comparing to BMW 3 series, Mercedes c class, and infinity g35 and this is by far the best car for the value. Like other reviewers said, this car comes with lots of add ons on its base package, however I upgraded to the leather with moonroof package. I agree the NAV system isn't the greatest, however I didn't get that package so I'm ok. It's a very smooth drive and it has a very sporty feel when driving with the shift paddles. As for the people complaining about room in the back seat, I don't know about you but I didn't buy this car to be a family car. I'm content with the front seats being very comfortable and the heating and cooling of the front seats is amazing....read morehide

- Drives Great!
- Will need new tires and brake pads around the two year mark.
We just bought our second IS250 and you can't beat it for the price. We shopped around a lot: BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac and this was the most upgraded vechicle for the price. I couldn't believe how stripped down these other cars were, EVERYTHING was extra. By the time we got the Cadillac CTS to where the base model Lexus is we were at almost $40K. In response to some of the negative reviews I would have to say a majority of it is YOUR service department, our service department is great....read morehide

- AWD, sound, good interior qualaty, ride comfort, smoothness of engine, transmission, .. etc
The car is excellent, has a good millage, head turner looks awesome, AWD, has a good quality and is very quiet, Im just looking for excuses to drive it, Im 22 years old and im loving this car. Has a good stereo sound quality too, Heated and Ac seats are great. I would recommend this car. I was looking at the BMW 323i but you can hear it more inside and is not as smooth as lexus and styling i prefer lexus, but everybody have their own taste. Also would be nice if lexus had manual for AWD. Lexus feels very comfortable, smooth and yet sporty, love it. I think its best of both worlds sport and comfort between BMW and Mercedes. Has good power, love the gauges, also if you wanted more power 350 is awesome, i live in Canada, Ontario i need AWD. If i want speed I just sit on my 07 Yamaha R6 and take off. Would recommend this car to everybody well built, maintenance cost are very low, from what i have read. Also test tha car and see it for yourself. Yes there is break dust but they are high pref romance breaks you can get different break pads from Lexus that r not as high performance and have not as much break dust free of charge, but there is a difference in breaking nos as smooth and you have to apply more pressure to break. I just clean my car every 2 or 3 days. Its all good. :)...read morehide

- Looks great, AWD, comfortable/quality interior, decent MPG, killer stereo
- SLOW, lots of creaks, squeaks, etc., too much break dust, premium gas.
I was initially disappointed with this car. After owning an Acura 3.2 CL-S for 5 years, the lack of acceleration in this Lexus bored me. But I am ok with it now. It is a beautiful car. The AWD dominated all winter in Chicago. The interior is of high quality. The heated/cooled seats are very nice. Gets decent gas mileage. And the 13 speaker standard stereo is the best stock system I have heard.
This car is not at all fast. Disappointingly slow actually. The car has a lot of squeaks, creaks, for a "luxury" make. Front rims are constantly black due to excess break dust. Takes premium gas, which is now $4.50/gallon in Chicago....read morehide

- It looks very nice
- Non-stop rattles, Brake dust, Uncomfortable ride
I have visited the dealership about 10 times in the last year concerning the non-stop rattling noises and they have yet to fix the problem. Trust me, this car is not worth the money. You will spend most of your time at the dealership trying to solve all these issues. I have to say this, "I MADE A BIG MISTAKE GETTING THIS CAR", try not to make the same mistake I did. GO for a BMW or Infinity, instead....read morehide
