2010 Lexus IS F User Reviews
- Absolutely everything. Suave leather, lightning fast, zippy handling, etc
- seats are a little hard

As a previous BMW M3 and Nissan 350Z owner, this car has been nothing but a huge surprise to me. My M3 was a fantastic driver's car but needed new transmission after 25k and had a myriad of other minor problems (such as the car locking me inside and not letting me out until mobile mechanics finally saved me, in my garage). 350Z was simply not powerful enough for what I was looking for. Have 31,000 miles on my 2008 IS-F, not a single problem.
Considered purchasing a performance Mercedes or BMW again but German cars have been plagued by reliability problems in the last 20 years, didn't want risk/hassle of taking car to shop, so ended up choosing Lexus.
Very impressed overall, take one for a test drive....read morehide

I had a BMW Z4 because I wanted a sporty car. What an incredible disappointment. That thing started falling apart after owning it for only 20,000 miles, my extended warranty was running out, and it would have cost me an arm and a leg on repairs.
I am so glad I traded it in for the IS-F. Performance is better, I am not worried at all about reliability(I own two other Lexus vehicles), and the ride compared to the Z4 is much smoother.
I have test driven BMW 3, 5 and 7 series cars, and can honestly say, I prefer Lexus vehicles over the BMW's. Guess I am not a "sports car enthusiast". Doesn't matter to me, I get a kick out of the look on the faces of German engineered automobiles as I accelerate right past them......read morehide

- Ride is ok
- PRICEY, not the performance I was expecting

Upgraded from an Is350, and to be honest, I kind of miss my old car.
The Isf is really stiff, and so far there is pinging with my engine. PINGING on a brand new engine. I haven't broken the engine yet, but I haven't hit redline either so there should be no reason for this.
Sent it back to Lexus, picking it up next week, we'll see. Should have widened my horizon by looking at the m3 or even the c63 amg....read morehide
