IS 250 AWD - not the F Sport. I want to love this car but it scrambles my brain every time I drive it. Dealer said it was the short wheel-base and sportier suspension, however, my Jag X-Type, with a shorter wheel-base, drives smoothly. Up to 3,5000 miles on it now and will probably take a bath on trading the thing in....read morehide

- Pros
- Reliability, good looks that last and comfortable
- Cons
- Slightly underpowered but sufficient
Purchased As New
I bought my first IS250 after test driving it. The previous car a Mercedes C200 was a disappointment, sluggish and unreliable. The water pump, bearings n belts broke down within a year.
It is not meant to be driven like a hot hatch and has sufficient power and pull for the highway. Petrol consumption is frugal. The drive is quiet and comfortable with a feeling of luxury expected of a Lexus.
I have driven the Lexus car for more than two years without a problem and the service is excellent. I changed the audio amp and added a stronger and more amps battery to give me better burn and better sound via new Nakamichi speakers. Intends to keep it for a long time.
After that, I believe Lexus can be my next car. By that time, what type of wonderful car will Lexus come up with?...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- good fuel economy
- Cons
- 250 is underpowered and small room for back passengers
Purchased As New
I purchased a new 2011 IS 250
I love this vehicle. I love the style and comfort it supplies. It has full navigation and creature comferts others dont provide. I must say that the IS that I purchased is a little underpowered, however it does handle like a dream. It is also a bit cramped if your the unlucky one to be in the back seat.
I would reccomend this care to college grads who don't yet have a full family. This vehicle is great if you have alot of hyw driving. I sometimes average 32 MPG if I drive @ 75mph on the interstate...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Cons
- rough handling , not smooth , engine noise

what a joke , lexus used to make fine cars, not anymore , dont waste your money, i felt cheated, problem is you can't bring the car back anymore to the dealer after buyer's remorse.
This is supposed to be a lexus, what the hell happened to your quality control.? Damn you can feel all the bumps in the road
engine noise, rough ride and you charge more than $30000 for this supposed to be luxury car?...read morehide1 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- sporty look, good handling
- Cons
- fuel consumtion, always "low tire", not easy in and out
Purchased As New
we own an es330. it is a nice car. now a ls460 which is a real good car in every way. the is250 awd gave me plenty of headache( it was traded for the ls460). the "low tire" is on every other week. going to gas station to pump up a real pain. when that high perfomance tire hit a small pot hole, you need a new tire .and it happened often. the next thing is fuel economy. awd does not give good mpg....read morehide

- Pros
- Design, Performance, Luxury.
- Cons
- Nothing!
Purchased As New
This is my second Lexus. First one was a 2008 IS250 RWD. Had it for almost 4 years and was in love with it. Lease was almost over so replaced it (Lexus let you change your lease early WITHOUT penalties… don’t you love it?) with a 2011 IS350 fully loaded. This machine is one of a kind. Power is insane, and performance, including handling, is superb.
Best performance for the price, and is a luxury vehicle! Have to take it for the first (free) oil change and will let Lexus fix some minor issues (some rattle from the console, and little Nitrogen missing from Driver Side wheel… nothing mayor at all).
I recommend this car (or any in the IS line) to anybody looking for a good reliable “entry level” luxury car.
A+++...read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

When I first purchased this car I loved it because it was a lexus. However, I found out real soon that this car is nothing more than a toyota. U can hear air coming in from outside when driving on freeway. U can feel all bumps in the road.
