bought the car at 51,000 miles. it now has 278,000 miles of long distance freeway and highway miles.
Only oil changes, tires, brakes, air-filter and transmission fluid have been changed every 10,000 miles.
So far no problems to report, except that the rear exhaust tail pipes have accumlated soot on the lower bottoms....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Very smooth ride ,very supportive seats ,great electronics
- Cons
- just a little overpriced

Our seventh Lexus is the best yet. It handled our slick roads very safely all winter long. Fit/finish is impeccable. Very quiet and smooth. Just what we have come to expect from Lexus. AWD is great on wet roads, too.

- Pros
- Smooth riding car
- Cons
- Excessive wind noise; Defective inside trim; Noise eminating from underside while at the halt
Purchased As New
* Had to take car back to dealer for defective seal on drivers side for noise
**Inside door trim on driver and front passenger sides developed bubbles. Dealer personnel allledged that excessive incidents of sealtbelt being caught between door and trim contributed. However that proved not an affirmative defense as passenger in front right seat only about 5% of time as 9 YOA daughter ALWAYS rides in right rear seat and driver only in front.
***Undiagnoised "clunking" noise in breaking/chasis when vehcle at a halt.
****Tires lose pressure even after helium install.
***** Tire pressure gauge good in the instrument panel, but SHOULD INDICATE SPECIFIC TIRE THAT IS LOW, I SUSPECT THAT TECHNOLOGY IS AVAILABLE...read morehide105 out of 170 people found this review helpful.

In August I traded my LS 430 for a new 2008 LS 460 expecting another very quiet and smooth automobile. This was not the case. The new car has a very klonking sound in the engine that that the dealer claims to be the mechanical fuel pump. They also claim that all new LS 460 s have this noise.
There is also drive train noises that was partially solved by changing the Bridgestone tires for Michelin tires.
I would be more than happy to trade back to my LS 430...read morehide335 out of 370 people found this review helpful.
