Purchased As Used
I have had this car for almost a year now and I love everythinga about the car. We traded in a 2000 GS300 and I enjoy this car so much more. When we go on a trip there isn't a problem with space in the car. I would buy this car again tomorrow.

- Good fuel economy for an SUV, nice interior and just a nice car
- Heated seat is a little bit of a disappointment
I was really quite surprised to read all the negative reviews for the RX-350. Maybe these people never owned an SUV before and were expecting a miracle. I’ve owned SUV’s since 1978 and this car is by far the nicest SUV I’ve owned yet. The mileage is quite good at 22 highway and 18+ city (If you want the mileage of a Prias, get a Prias), the ride is great, power is more then adequate for everyday driving (if you have a need for speed get a Ferrari), the interior is very nice, the ride is very comfortable and the service from Lexus is head and shoulders above any American SUV I’ve owned in the past.
My only negative comment is that the car is really somewhat of a ‘girley’ car but having said that, I would recommend this car to anyone.
This is a very nice, quality car....read morehide

- good fuel economy averaged about 27 on the highway and 18 on the city.
- Does not have smart access key, push start botton like the ES350, blue tooth.
I purchased a certified pre-owned 08 RX 350 with 16,000 miles wich saved me about 5,000 off the price of a brand new one.
I had an 05 Nissan Pathfinder LE and the battery started with some problems. I traded it in for an 08 RX 350. I'm originally stationed in Texas and was in School for a few months in Souht Carolina. This is the location that I purchased the RX 350. The RX drives so smooth and the handling is excellent. the leather seats were alot more comfortable. My wife flew down for my graduation and we drove back 1,311 miles. She loved the way it handled with the cruise set at 75/h. The RX almost drove it self, there was no horse power difference since bothe vehicles were at 270 each. The RX was faster since it was lighter in weight.
I do miss the heated seats. Sometimes on hills the vehicle would jerk

- Good fuel economy, comfort and handling
- can't think of any
I get 24 to 26 miles to a gallon on the highway and 18 in the city. I don't think I can compare this SUV with others in this size catagory. Most small SUV's don't do as well as the RX350. We have had four RX SUV's in the past 8 years and haven't looked back at anything else and honestly don't intend to. So to the nay sayers you most likely will have a negative comment about anything you drive. Almost everyone that I know who owns a Lexus RX won't change no matter what the other car makers throw our way. Show me a SUV in the RX size that gets the gas milage the RX350 does....read morehide

I have a 2008 RX330. It has 17000 miles on it and the only compalint is the tire sensor is very sensitive. If you inflate the tires right it fixes itself. I had a RX350 and this one has much more power and gets around 15% better mileage that the 330. The actual mileage is over 26mpg overall. I live outside the city, but travel there frequently. This is the best handling vehicle that I have ever owned. It is a delight to drive....read morehide

- good fuel economy, sleek look, great features
- wish it was just a little bit larger for inside cabin room
Love the car have had it for 6 months now. Its very comfortable. The only thing I would ever change is just a little more room inside. That would make this car perfect.

- Spacious interior, comfortable for driver, high tech goodies, solid feel
- Lacks the latest high tech goodies, style is somewhat outdated.
This is my 3rd RX. I bought the very first generation RX in 1999 but had a lot of problems so I sold it after 2 years. I traded it in for an ES. The ES was a great car but terrrible for my back. Since I suffer from chronic back pain, it was difficult to get in and out of. I traded the ES for a RX 400h hybrid. The gas mileage was not that great for a hybrid 18/city and 24/hwy. I traded that one in for a Honda CRV but really missed the luxury. So now, back to the 2008 RX350. I've had it now for about a month. It really is an amazing car. Drives extremely well on freeways. Really hugs the road and doesn't sway like the ES did. (I thought it was me but now realize it was characteristic of the ES) Gas mileage is great for an SUV. I've been averaging 19/city and 25/hwy. The only thing I don't like about the new RX is that it's pretty much outdated. I'm sure the new ones will have all the goodies that I like. I miss the push button start, keyless entry, power folding mirrors and bumper sensors. I recently drove the new Infiniti EX35 and it was loaded with all those great features and more but it was not a comfortable car. Very tight inside, no rear seat legroom and the suspension was a bit too sporty for me. I love my RX but am anxious to see what the new ones will have. Dealers know that this version of RX is about over and are anxious to unload. I got mine fully loaded with NAV for $38,800 OTD. Glendale Lexus. Sticker/MSRP was $44,371 but I did visit 3 Lexus dealers to get the best deal possible. That is truly the key....read morehide

- Comfortable, GPS Features Rock!!! and fun to drive
- No cons so far
Its almost as if most of the people writing reviews never test drove the car before buying. Its called research guys. Go to you local auto show and check out all interested types of cars before making purchase. We are in love with our RX350!!! Rides great. Makes for great road trips. Extremely smooth. Braking is excellent and sometimes, if your not use to good brakes, a bit sensitive. Quit when you need it. The complaints about it being slow. Helpful hint- get a sports car. That's what they are for. This is for comfort, reliability and space for its class. Its not a full size SUV but you can fit plenty. Love the lights on hills at nights also along with GPS you can see what turns are coming next. The days of guessing those dangerous roads are over....read morehide

- Drive smoothly
- Poor battery
I owned my RX for two and half years without any problem until last month. At 10 P.M, when I finished my school, I couldn't started my car, I was alone and helpless in the parking lot.My last car was I30, I used it for seven years without any problem, only changed the battery after five years.I highly suggest RX owner don't use delay turn off of the headlight, the battery is not strong enough to support it....read morehide

- price tag; interior style
- UGLY, cant tell the differnt because its 10 yr old model to this one very minor upgrades
I would not approve this car for just anyone; if you like driving do no buy this car; the platform to built this car is the same for both the ES and camry; so basically its a sedan but taller. RX cannot compare to Acura MDX, Infinite FX, or Benz ML.
Very old school styling that needs a upgrade; upset that Lexus does not spend time on redesigning this car its soo boring......read morehide
