We bought this car to replace 2001 RX 300. Was originally going to buy RX 350, but the fact that 400h is hybrid and will save gave over the long run, we decided to buy it. this car includes most of the options in RX 350 as standard. Wife loves the car, the ride, the finish, and the handling. She test drove Toyota Highlander Limited Hybrid, and she said there's no comparison between RX400h and Toyo Highlander Limited Hybrid. She claims that whoever said both are the same cars have not driven the RX400h.
We live in the hilly area north of San Antonio, so our driving includes hills, highway, and stop and go traffic. After more than 1000 miles, we are averaging 25.4 MPG (using regular unleaded), a whopping 6 MPG more than what we were getting in RX300 and 2003 Acura MDX. Not quite the high as advertised, however, we didn't buy this car on that score alone. So far, we are loving 400h.
