2009 Lexus RX
There are 7 user reviews for the 350 FWD trim shown below
- looks, interior design
- transmission, mpg, handling, expensive wheels
i have owned a 350 fwd for about 3 yrs now and I have to say, it has been a disater! I recently changed my tires for $220 a piece which Miliken only makes, then a month later the radiator cracks! I then towed my 350 to the dealer and they asked for $1700 for a new radiator, coolant $140, and a new battery for $230.. I told the service that Lexus should never breakdown like this especially a radiator cracking and the service guy said that Lexus do tend to overheat!
Not to mention, the handling on this car is a joke. Everytime it rains, I have to put the car on to snow traction or else the car would slip and slide on freeways.
The only good thing about this car is its interior design. It feels very luxurious with the wood trims and the blk leather.
If your looking to buy an RX think again. Try the BMW X3, or the new MB GLK.....read morehide

- Similar to my RX330 have good performance
- The RX350 will be changed next year by a new design
Lexus RX300 used to be similar to Highlander, from RX330 it is different. RX350 has 3.5 liter engine than the 3.3liter engine, but everything else is the same. Lexus 350 is build in USA, not like highlander that is build in Japan.
Lexus RX350 is smaller than Highlander, unfortunately, which has option for seat of seven and $10K cheaper.
Another thing about Lexus 350 is the model is undergone redesign in the 2010 model, so this RX350 design started in the RX330 will be the last year of this shape. It may fixed most the problem of this model from previous years, but also make this model less resell value in the years to come.
Also Lexus RX350 did not pass the Safest Car of 2009 tests, Toyota Highlander 2009 did pass....read morehide

- Beautiful. Comfortable. Roomy. LOVE the bluetooth for my phone. Crazy about this car!
- The nav system is not very intutive. Love having the tape player and 6 CD player! Audio great.
Lush lush lush. And handy. Like the way the back seats snap down flat to put big things in the back. I love everything about this car. Grateful for the bluetooth and talking on the phone through the sound system... glad not to have the phone or bluetooth to my ear. Feel safe on the road. It's beautiful....read morehide

- interior design, cargo space
- seats, engine, handling in rain
i have a 06 rx330 and have driven it for about 2 yrs now. I would have to say that it is the worst suv experience i have ever encountered. the transmision keeps slipping, seats are very uncomfortable for long drives, and most importantly the handling on rainy surfaces are beyond explainable. It feels like the car is on ice.
Truly noted, this will be the last time I will ever buy another lexus....read morehide

- Looks, easy of driving, fuel economy, TOO MANY TO LIST
- space, TRADE-in not good!
I love this car! I traded my 2005 Tahoe in on this and even though I loved my Tahoe, I LOVE THIS CAR! It drives so smooth. I am getting MUCH better fuel economy on the Lexus. I did not get the DVD player on this and my daughter sure misses that! I was obviously able to fit more in the Tahoe, but we fit nicely in the Lexus. I love the power door on the back! EVERYONE notices the Lexus and that is good and bad at times.
I paid $36K for my Lexus and the list price was $41K. Mine does not have the Navi. system, DVD player or heated seats. (I miss the DVD player and the heated seats I had in my tahoe though!)
They only gave me $13K for my Tahoe and my Tahoe was LOADED with the big engine, leather, DVD, heated seats, 3rd row, etc and I only had 53K miles on it. I wish I had gotten a better trade in, but I still LOVE THIS CAR!...read morehide

- Good fuel economy, smooth ride, very zippy.
- This is luxury??? Gimme my GM!!
Just bought the 350 two weeks ago. I traded in my 2006 Tahoe. I love the way this car handles, it's very zippy and not as large and clunky as the Tahoe. I got the Matador Red, which is just beautiful. My biggest complaint about this car is the fact that for a luxury car, the coolest thing is the telescopic steering wheel. The base model w/"luxury package" came at the same priced as a new LOADED Tahoe or Yukon (3 rows, DVD, nav, heated seats, leather, etc.). I'm not seeing where I should've paid for a name and am not getting any of the great amenities without paying a huge premium. As for gas, since you have to use premium in the Lexus, that's not a great savings either. I could've gotten way more with a Yukon and since I did a lease, it's not like warranty or depreciation was an issue. I'm disappointed in my first luxury experience......read morehide

- drives like a car with a great balance of luxery and not too soft of a drive perfect
traded away my 2003 tahoe for this ride
this is a major league in performance compared to the tahoe and i dont feel like it will flip over either ,
rides like a car without a mushy soft feeling .
i don,t think LEXUS can make a bad car if it tried.ITS NOT IN THE COMPANIES DNA TO MAKE A POOR VEHICLE.
plus these RX have fantastic resale value....read morehide
