Purchased As Used
A luxury touring car, not a sports car. This car turns heads and puts a smile on the driver's face. It is taunt, stable, refined and a great car with top up or down. Fuel economy is not great, but this is not an economy car. I love it for what it is .... a relaxing, rewarding driving experience with Lexus reliability and class....read morehide

- Handles okay, Looks okay
- SLOW, not at all like my Audi TT that I traded. Balance is not very good
I am so sorry I purchased this car. I have had problems with it but Lexus wont do anything to help. I am too honest to dump it on someone but I dont want this vehicle. I think most people put it in thier head is that this line is such a wonderful line of cars is because they are to embarassed that they spent so much money on a Toyota with 15000 dollars worth of options....read morehide

- Sleek body, fantastic dashboard, A head turner, A feeling of safety.
- Run flat tires too rough for the money. Shifting from D to R noisy at times
Owning a 2006 SC430 has been an incredible experience, only because I have another vehicle for the winter. The worst feeling is having to put my SC430 in the garage until the snow melts. But still...
One of the few, the proud, the Lexus SC 430 Convertibles!!

- Leather interior is superb, smooth and quite overall, good mileage, turning radius is the best
- The Nakamichi stereo system of the old SC models is better than the present model
The only drawback is the size of the passenger rear. They could have made it like the SC400 which is quite roomy.

- Lexus Service and Reliability
- City Gas Mileage
The new SC430 2006 is absolutley The best car I have ever owned. I had another 2002 SC430 and the improvements in the handling and ride with run flat tires are quite noticeable . The ride quality , fast breaking handling and handling with run flat tires has improved drastically. The Interior improvement are too minor to note over the 2002 ,However the new Front bumper and autofocusing headlights and rear lighting are great modifications. The new Six speed Transmission that can shift like a manual is easy to understand and manuver and does increase power and take off and sportier driving. The mpg has not improved vs the old model and realistically no more than 12=13 miles to the gal in the city.
Have not taken the 06 on a long trip but the 02 does achieve about 20-22mpg in freeway driving.
The interior is very well laid out and the seats and comfort as well as the adjustments have improved over the 02 model.
Be careful a slight dent in the rear deck can cost you as much $3000 to over $10.K in repair costs.
The Service department and the Lexus put Mercedes to shame ... Mercedes Is a Joke compared to this car and i have owned 3MBZ s and would never ever in a million years go back to buying and owning another MBZ.
Their new SL Body was copied off of this Lexus and they would still never ever get it right....read morehide

- Women love my car.
- There's not enough time to have all the women.
I mean, come on. Let's face it. This car turns heads. I liked my cross-country trip so much (Bakersfield, Ca. to Greensboro, NC.) that I took another trip right after I got back from the East Coast. Drove to Portland up the California Coast and along the Redwood Highway. Talk about comfort! I agree with others regarding the rigidity of the tires and the possible need for more power, but like, women like the car. What more to say? I think I better buy the extended warranty!...read morehide

- Lexus name
- Too pricey, could have more HP, markup is way too much.
After the run from stop light against one dude I was wondering how much HP this car has. Not that the dude didn't smell my tailpipes . Still was curious. Then I saw the price of this car. Well yea it is Lexus but it is a rip off no question about it! Almost $8500 mark up! You have to be out of your mind to buy this car for more than invoice.
And the 288 HP for 3840lbs? Give me a break! Performance is bad. I bet this car could not match a Civic SI!...read morehide

- quiet ride, good fuel economy, long distance comfort
- run flats, tire presure sensors, resale
I have 65k on my 2003 SC 430. My wife and I love it! Our biggest problem is the lease is up and the trade in is so large we will not be buying it again. I hated the run fkllats and the vehicle does go through tires because of the negative camber designed into the vehicle for handling. I regulkarly run between 90 and 100mph on long trips and feel very safe. The tire press. sensors indicate a low tire when this is not the case and this has caused problems...read morehide
