2006 Lincoln Town Car User Reviews

- Living in hilly country, highway MPG is outstanding! 38MPG downhill! 29MPG uphill! Value*****
- Parking amongst compacts impossible. haha, brakes feel soft in sudden stops.
Prestige comes with the package. Watch TV/Movies & see a Linc T/C in most scenes. Had mine appraised July 06 & its depreciation isn't as noticable. I'm a big man so comfort has been Choice A! Been in emergency situations HWY, been cut off but was able to navigate past construction barriers, etc. so steering is outstanding. My transmission is operating very well as is acceleration. Drove in high temps (111f) at 105 MPH for 45 mins. everything worked flawlessly incl. air cond.
My work takes me to the airport so taking out and putting in luggage is no problem for me and others.
The Lincoln commands respect from other drivers. Drive something smaller and see what happens at rush hour.
The speedometer is 2 mph under so I don't gain attention from the Smokies out there gauging your speed using Laser or Microwaves.
Instrumentation is wonderful right down to the clock.
Traction control works well under 32 F and wet conditions.
My Lincoln is a keeper!...read morehide

- extremely smooth ride and braking with lots of pick up and throaty sounding . A1 comfort
- hesitates before hitting passing gear. needs an updated rear end
I use my signature lincoln as a limousine to shuttle clients to and from the airport. I get many compliments on the interior and comfort. These cars are a good value and super reliable!!!! Most of my fellow limo owners have close to 300,000 miles on these cars and they just keep going.. Oh yea great sterio and gas mileage as well....read morehide

- A great large sedan with sweet features at a good price.
- Ride is soft and engine needs some more power maybe 275 or 300?
This car is perfect for taking people around in or on long highway trips. Introduce a twist and turn the car begins to show of its "soft" roots. It is not that it feels unsafe but just bland, at least the dual exhaust pump out a decent note under accleration. Aside of that the "sport" in this car is not here. I don't ask for alot of sport just some and I still feel as if Ford needs to inject some. Other than those minor complaints and its dated mid-section of the car (doors and rear pillar). I really like the look of it, actually feature wise and buck for buck its unbeatable. Yet I find myself looking at a DTS as more balanced vehicle adding some sport in the package. Over all the interior is huge and very comfortable, power isn't that bad but when compared to the DTS or 7 Series is just falls short. If you plan on doing Sunday breakfast runs or interstate crusing and want a solid value than the Town Car is worth a look. If you after some "sport" and more road connection try a DTS or BMW something....read morehide

This 2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature L is the best trim of the Lincoln Town Car. The "L" stands for "Long-Wheelbase" for additional 6 inches with wider rear doors and leg space. It has tissue bins, one piece floormat, heated rear seats, reading lights, and other options. It's also a Hard-to-find model I've been searching since Saturday, January 29th 2005 and I still always know where to find the Signature Ls because I'm really a smart and a genius person. On the other hand, how come you're being really careless on the Signature Ls too much? Youre always treating the mini limousines called Signature Ls a Hard-to-find model for years besides, I wanted the Signature L so badly so I can be ready for the driving test. This Signature L has everything I solute and it's the Top-of-the-line model all the time. All I want to talk about is the Signature L....read morehide

- 22/25 mpg; regular grade fuel. Roomy comfort
- Hesitates before going into passing gear.
I traded my Cadillac Seville CTS which I loved for this Town Car Signature Limited. I'm very happy with the trade. The Lincoln is much more luxuriant and comfortable. It carries two passengers more than the Cadillac and is much more economical to operate. My dealer has been great in his followup campaign of routine maintenance service....read morehide
