wait for improvment in 2010 or get lexus

by Elizabeth from boca raton florida (5/08/08)
Pros:the appearance of the car is nice except it look like the ford edge
Cons:brakes, plastic bumper. Navigation system could be more user friendly

I purchased this car 04/08 and really am disappointed. Brake problems. It does not feel like its stable after 60 mph. Bad on gas mileage. I had the lincoln navigator 5 years ago and hated it. I thought this would be better. Shame on me. No backup camera. The seats are uncomfortable. For the money the dash should be wood trim and elegant. Not cheap and silver. problems with moonroof. Someone sat on my bumper and its comming off. Engine problems. Save your money going to sell this and go to Lexus.

A little disappointed

by Auto worker family member from Virginia (4/28/08)
Pros:Love the styling and performance, this is my 12 ford product
Cons:In the shop on day three for fuel line leak that should never have left the assembly line.

Can't understand how this vehicle got through final assembly with a "severe" fuel line leak. I'm talking a whole tank of gas within 24 hours. This is my first Lincoln, I am a tried and true Ford guy. The only thing I can say is the is the first I've bought where final assembly took place in Canada, and the CAU is not the UAW.

Lincoln it the Mark!

by Brad from Northern California (4/24/08)
Pros:zen like interior, exterior styling, generous back seat leg room
Cons:fuel economy, complicated radio/navigation controls

I really took my time researching vehicles this time. I test drove everything from German to Japanese and other American Crossovers and SUVs. I have to tell you I stumbled upon the MKX by accident and I'm glad I did. I was so struck by the exterior styling with it's 20' chrome wheels and retro grille. The interior is amazing, very elegant, yet simple and almost zen like, very clean, not busy. I am 6'3" and the seating position is perfect for me and there's plenty of room for stuff. I like the idea that you don't see that many on the road or next to you at a stop light.

LOVE @ first drive!

by Tamralynn from Hartington, NE (4/13/08)
Pros:Nav. system, panoramic sunroof, look is sleek and stylish, SYNC ROCKS!, All the bells and whistles.
Cons:none so far

We bought a 2008 used with only 3000 miles and got an amazing deal. Totally loaded. I traded in my Aviator and have no complaints so far. I am averageing 18 MPH in town and 22MPH highway so far. My seats are really cushy and comfortable, and the back seat has tons of room. Still trying to figure out the rear air and a few other things, but in Nebraska who needs air? LOVE

MY CROSSOVER

by LILLIE DIXON from Chicago, IL (4/11/08)
Pros:Very smooth and quiet ride, the sync radio is ideal.
Cons:Not good gas mileage

I purchased my crossover 2 months ago and I'm glad I crossed over, I love my Lincoln, best purchase I've made so far. The ride is unbelievable and smoother than any car I have ever owned. There's plenty of room in the cabin. Sync, the hands free phone and Sirius radio is the best. Heated/cooled reclining seats are quite nice. It handles well but is not so good on gas. The adaptive head lights and power tailgate is very impressive and I enjoy the vista roof. I am so elated with this vehicle and the price was right.

Wonderful Car With Amazing Features!!

by lovemyMKX from Texas (3/16/08)
Pros:Smooth Ride, Luxury Features, Super Stylish, Great Options
Cons:Gas Milage, Tall Seats Limit Visability

I love my MKX. Heated/Cooled seats are a great feature. Comfortable interior, roomy and classy. Best saftey features. Driver airbags adjust to the seat position which is ideal for shorter drivers. Front passanger airbags turn off if the person in the seat is too small or too light. again, ideal for shorter pass. or those rare times when a child must ride up front. Side curtain airbags are perfect for owners who have children. Moving headlamps make driving at night much easier, especially on residential streets. Super sound system and DVD w/ wireless headphones. I get more compliments on this car than anything I've ever owned. The downside: Bad gas milage and high seats make it difficult to see cars beside and behind you. Thankfully, the backup sensor helps in this case but you must be super careful when changing lanes while driving. Brakes take some getting use to. Wonderful car, well worth the money!

Cabernet

by George Sauvigne from Miami Shores, FL (2/08/08)
Pros:Aiar Cooled Front Seats!! Spacious Interior...Loads of room in front and back seats! Smooth drive!
Cons:Gas mileage is under 16mpg in/around town.

Nit picking, but the center storage compartment should have a light in it!

Otherwise, so far, so good! What an improvement over the Mercedes E320 that I had before...

ALL automakers should make air-cooled/ventilated front seats "standard" for cars sold in Florida! Sales sure would pick up....

Cool car

by florida sand from Cocoa, FL (2/08/08)
Pros:Easy Nav, A/C seats and uses regular gas
Cons:Firm seats

We really enjoy our MKX. Very stylish. Perfect get around town car. Downsized from an Escalade and love the ease of handling. The power liftgate is perfect for shopping. The nav is the most user friendly of any we have seen. We did look at the competition--Infinity FX35, Cadillac SRX and the Lexus 350--and are happy with decision to purchase this crossover.

there are some issues...

by CarFiend1220 from Phoenix (2/08/08)
Pros:very stylish and luxurious
Cons:bad mileage, breaks tend to give too much, passenger side paneling broke off and could not be replac

not worh the money, but if it is not an issue it is a must have. personally, i will be switching to the infiniti fx series, especially after the passenger side paneling broke off and lincoln refused to replace it, claiming it was not covered under the warranty.

not one of my choices

by Joshua from Southern California/socal (1/20/08)
Pros:stylish on the outside
Cons:terrible on the inside

this car is not comfortable, doesn't get good mpg, and feels like you are going to fall off the road at streets. The good things about this car is that it has lights that turn with the car.
