| Pros: | Great value, enough power, not terrible fuel economy, tows my boat with ease, comfortable, classy in |
| Cons: | Could use an extra gear in the trans or a few extra ponies, the look is getting a little boring |
I was actually looking to get the new Lexus LX570 but I almost had a heart attack from the sticker shock! I didn't even need to test drive it. I walked into the dealership, saw the window sticker and walked out- $82,200 with only 2 options! That's the result of the weak dollar.
In any event was was keen on getting something powerful to tow my boat. A friend of mine suggested the Lincoln Navigator. I was reluctant at first but fell in love after a test drive and saw the price was more comfortable- nearly $30k cheaper than the Lexus and $18k cheaper than its sister the Land Cruiser. I also drove the Land Cruiser but the look was so cartoon like, and the fuel economy posted by some owners of 9 MPG for the new one was outrageous.
I was also expecting something like 10 MPG with the Navigator but I started with 14/18 and now with over 10k miles I am getting 15/19 which works out to about 17 MPG average. Not bad for a 3 ton truck that does towing of a 15' speeder.
I have to say the interior is very comfortable. Way more comfortable than any other large SUV I have driven. I like the retro look of the dash. I'm not so keen on the outside though. The front is undone and the rear doesn't fit with anything on the truck. Strange but ok since the rest of the truck is everything I could need in this size.
Third row seat is great plus there is still plenty of room behind the seat, unlike the others. I also considered the Cadillac Escalade but the dealers would have had to order the one I wanted and I needed a SUV right now not in 2 months. But the Cadillac and Lincoln were both my top choices. Powerful and comfortable. The Cadillac has a little more chrome but I don;t need that.
Value wise I think this is a sure bet. I could not see spending an extra $30k for the Lexus- I was not that impressed with it. Overall I am happy with my choice. With over 10k miles already, its been flawless and just what I needed. If there was anything they could do to make it better- add an extra gear or an extra 50 HP because the Escalade has over 403 HP and this one "only" has 310.

| Pros: | Great ride, an awesome SUV for the long haul, and for all the kids activities. |
| Cons: | Fuel economy is not great along city streets, but not too bad in the highway. |
Awesome interior with real wood dash, the high intensity head light is great during night driving, the stereo system comes with a THX certified speaker, my kids love the built in DVD. Exterior have acres of chrome that fits beautifully with the truck body. So much features that comes standard on this vehicle that we practically could use for my family trip.
