I have a 2008 CX-9 Touring model with moon roof and in-dash 6-CD stereo. It's a lot of vehicle for around $33K. Rides like a sedan with good handling and power. Super quiet and smooth on highways. Interior is stylish and functional and has the look and feel you'd expect in a BMW or Mercedes. Plenty of room in 2nd row - even behind a 6'2" driver. Rear climate control and cupholders/armrest are clutch. I was close to buying a Mercedes R-320 but I think a comparably equipped CX-9 is just as nice for about $15K less -plus you won't be held hostage to the dealer for repairs and maintenance like you are with a BMW/Mercedes/Audi. I got AWD for snow and ice travel and I haul a rock band and equipment around. I couldn't bring myself to buy a minivan and the CX-9 was a perfect match.
