I have driven my Mazda 2 for a year (15,000 miles+) and have had zero problems. It's not a race car, but has no problem merging onto the interstate. The white pearl paint is extraordinary and washes up to look new every wash.

Not sure on the humps and bumps on the suspension.

A fuel-efficient car! Very good in handling especially on tight turns and curves. It is good when you get the Manual gear for you can feel the 'Zoom, Zoom' feeling.. Want to have it more! Love my Mazda 2!

5 speed base sport model with only a $200 pearl white option on sticker. I added speed control, center armrest, stone guards, rubber floor mats and rubber cargo mat, ipod wire hook up, and a little gas .. for around the next 200 thousand miles or so ... cheap and fun

I love this car.
This is a drivers car with a manual transmission.
Styling is a personal opinion but I think its one of the best.
Seat material on the touring model is better than any Honda i've seen.
Have been averaging 36mpg but lost this function when i installed an aftermarket stereo but better than EPA estiamte of 32 combined.

I knew what I was getting when I bought this car. The small cargo area and 1.5L/100HP engine were not issues for me. The only other car I was considering was a Chevy Sonic which has a more aggressive look, and bigger engine, but also included things I didn't want and reliability was unknown since it is a new model.
With about 1000 miles of mixed driving I have gotten over 34 mpg in this thing. It is quick with the manual 5 speed transmission and provides the illusion of speed if nothing else! Visibility is very good, not great. Comfort,ergos and seating room are better than expected. It is pretty quiet for a car its size. Fit and finish are excellent and my only real complaint is with the windshield wipers. The intermittent setting is fixed, not variable, and the passenger side arm is long and bent and appears right in my field of view at full sweep.
The red interior lights are a bit harsh at night for my eyes, and some of the displays are difficult to see when the sun hits them at the wrong angle.
Overall, though, this is a fun car to drive and feels solid. It sticks to the road and corners extremely well. I got exactly what I wanted with this model in this trim. The steering wheel mounted audio controls and cruise control are easy to use. The leather wrapped wheel tilts but does not telescope, which is not an issue for me. I am quite happy with my Mazda 2 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent commuter that can also run around town pretty well....read morehide

Ive been driving this car for over 2,000 miles now and it just keeps getting better. This car is so easy to paralell park! The gas MPG is 36.2 average so far in mixed city highway driving!
Should go up as the car gets broken in and winter passes. The car handles so well for a little car! The shifter is Miata like in its crisp sure shifts. It is adorably cute! I bought the Touring which has some extras like: spoiler, alloy wheels, trip computer, extra speakers, nicer seats (and they are soo comfy). The car comes standard with pw, pl, pm, tilt cruise, cd/mp3, a/c, and much more. I drove the honda Fot awhile back and was not all that impressed. This car seems much more fun, and just as reliable and better looking, and not everyone and their brother owns one like most hondas, so common. the only thing I wish for is a slightly bigger hatchback, but everything else is stellar. Even with only 100hp this car flys! So fun, youve gotta drive it to believe it, I highly recommend the manual transmission!...read morehide

Couldn't be more pleased with the Mazda 2. Great car for the city as it is compact, nimble and very responsive. This is my first Mazda and I must say I am impressed.
