- Great fuel economy, looks great, feels great on the road
- This is not a luxury auto, not as much room as my Avalon
I bought this car new, after researching other vehicles and found that for the money this was my best buy! It has a lot of options on it, like the moonroof package which my Avalon had and I was glad to have that in this car as well. Highly recommend at least a test drive. Handles curves nicely! Great car!...read morehide

- Great gas mileage, fun to drive, sharp handling, great looks
- clutch has a soft feel, but it is an economy car
I bought this car brand new and it has been great. I was in the market for an economy car and my choices were the Honda Civic, Pontiac G5, and the Mazda 3i. I am happy that I chose the Mazda 3. It just had more to offer and had a high quality feel to it than the others. It handles great, has a good shift feel, and gets me 40 mpg on the highway. I haven't had any problems with it and I am planning on keeping this car for a long time....read morehide

- Not much right now
- Hit a racoon- $10,000 in damage. Plastic bumber, radiator and bracket Gas milage is not ipressive.
All makes of this year look so much alike I think they all go to the same designer. I drive 90% highway and barely manage 30MPG. Poor acceleration. But what concerns me now is what happens when I drive in the snow--am I going to lose my bumper and radiator every major snow? We were only going 65mph and hit a medium sized racoon that did almost $3000 in damage to the body and didn't give any indication that the engine was over heating. Now it's almost $6000 for an engine plus labor. If you travel any country highways think twice about this car....read morehide

- COMPACT+SPORTY+ A TEENAGER'S DREAM NEW CAR!!
- HAVE HAD TO TAKE IT TO DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES.
I'm 19 years old and have had one car before my 2008 Mazda 3i Touring model. My 95 Nissan Maxima was much better on mileage than the Mazda I averaged 26MPG city on first tank from dealer, still it's pretty good. fills up with $40. The tires were given to me over-inflated. It makes this very ugly sound at all times, if I'm driving or if I'm parked in my driveway. From the right back tire something's loose and it bangs against the car all the time. (very annoying) The dealership said that they couldn't find the problem and the car was fine. Besides these issues, I'm more than happy with my car. It's my dream to get a small car with good mileage and a very sporty look. It turns heads. But at the mall I can never find it.. there's soo many but It's for a good reason.....read morehide

- There are so many in the Vancouver BC area it gets lost in parking lots
This car is a dream, it is beyond fun to drive. It handles great and has very good gas mileage. I looked at many small sedan cars and none have as much space in the interior and trunk as the Mazda 3. There is a reason why there are so many 3's on the road.

- Tad bit annoying with seatbelt noise.

- MPG, 17 in. Rims, Sun Roof, Audio Jack, 6-CD, Steering Audio Controls
The Mazda3 I-Touring Value 4-Door looks very much like a BMW. Its the way the back 2 windows curve downward, makes for a VERY Sporty look. Definately go with the 17 inch rims, anything else and it starts to look like a corolla or something cheaper. Mazda3 only comes with 2.0 or 2.3 Liter Engine, I have the 2.0 just because I didn't want to shell out another 2k for the 2.3 Liter. I test drove both and they both are great. Sun Roof looks hot, along with the Audio controls on the steering wheel. This car is very nice and sporty. I have a manual transmission which is very nice. Good gas milage. So far have only had my car for 7 days but is a great ride and a great price. Make sure you get the car for at least invoice, I paid invoice for mine ($17,100) + title tax ect, came out to about 18k + but of course mine had all the extras I mentioned, Sun Roof, 17 inch rims, power windows, doors etc... I dropped about 9.5k down with 0% financing for 36 months and my payments are only about $200 / month. I still need to put some tints on for privacy and more cooling but everything is Great thus far....read morehide

- Solidly built little car, smooth running, quick steering
- Too many to mention here, see review
I have the i touring edition, not the "value" edition (for some reason I couldn't find the standard touring version on the site.)
This car has the smoothest engine of anything I have had. When you get in it you can tell it's a solid car. Unfortunately, it's also very heavy for its size (over 3800 lb.), and as such I am only getting about 19-20 mpg overall (I don't do much highway driving).
I agree with the earlier reviewers who didn't like the all-black interior. The seats are firm, but not as hard as I thought at first; this would be good for long trips. It has a nice ride, but I can't help but think it would be better with standard-size tires.
The AC is the least impressive of anything I have had. It also has both the smallest trunk, and the smallest trunk opening, of any car I've had. On cars with automatic like mine has, I'd also like to see overdrive, with a button for manually engaging and disengaging it. I haven't had any problems and don't really expect to; I wonder if some of the other reviewers may have just gotten lemons.
One sample problem I did run into: three of the four tires were way over-inflated....read morehide

- Easy to handle, better than average gas milage
- Very poor quality stereo system, uphostery and carpets are cheap!
The CD player is very temperamental - it began skipping and rejecting CD's within the first 500 miles. At 1500 miles the left bass speaker has begun to rattle. The upholstery has begun to get fuzzy from regular use after less than 2000 miles. Otherwise, fun to drive and responsive handling. The 2.0l engine isn't quite as zippy as I'd like - go with the 2.3l...read morehide

- braking power, fuel economy
- nothing so far
I've bought my 2008 Mazda 3i Touring in April and so far I'm very satisfied with car. It has enough power and handles very good. I got myself black one with manual transmission (more fun =)))). To give it little bit sportier look I got rear wing spoiler and fuel door pearl satin cover. For better protection I have fog lights, mud guards and door edge guards. And all that for $18300 (included taxes and all fees). Mileage on this car is amazing. It gives me around 29-30 MPG in city. On combined, 50%city and 50% highway it gave me more than 32MPG. I love this car. And I really recommend this car to everybody who wants looks, performance, comfort and MPG all in one car....read morehide
