- cool interior, good looks, 17" wheels, aux in standard,
- weak stereo for sport model, suspension starting to get soft,
Overall this is a great buy. I have put 20,000 miles on it in 1 year and have been very pleased. I owned a mazdaspeed protege prior to this and do miss the handling but not the fuel consumption. It has great low end torque for around town and plenty passing power at 50 plus MPH. When people ride in it they are usually suprised that I paid $18k at the dealer for it. It has plenty of room for our 2 dogs plus gear/bikes on a long trip (one of them weighs 150 pounds). The fabric on the seats is also very easy to keep clean.
As mentioned in the cons, the suspension has started to settle. For most this is OK but I preffer a more firm ride. If looking for a true "sport" model the MAZDASPEED is the way to go.
