We're a family of four + Dog and reviewed other vehicles prior including SUV's and quickly realized that from this price point nothing comes close. Interior designed w/driver in mind (cheap plastics though, maybe Hyundai could consult Mazda on suppliers), controls are logical including steering mounted buttons. Shifter's easy to reach, even the optional Navigation is placed logically but front passengers will have a hard time w/it (placed to the left of shifter). Options: Sunroof (love the one touch opening), AUTO-Manumatic (up and downshifting are precise), Navigation (Bad: Handy but a bit outdated, menus not in plain english, can't be used while driving so a passenger cannot help navigate, push button too sensitive, Good: accurate, voice activated, hides when not in use and has 3 dimming positions to compensate for glare), AUTO dimming Mirror (love the off switch). Handles great and power is adequate (not for racing off the line but wouldn't you need to be alone and in a lambo for that anyway?), once at speed and on the h-way it zooms and keeps up with traffic easily. Gas mileage is good and no premium like our previuos car (Thank Goodness). Traction is perfect on dry and rainy weather but slips somewhat on snow + ice due to no TC therefore many people will ask for AWD but the reality is the lack of TC will make it slip on winter weather but ABS is standard. Biggest Complaints: W/the 3 rows up there isn't rack to accomodate cargo up on top, arm rests on back would be helpful, lack of power adapter in the middle of the car (either all the way to the front or back), no tinted windows, AUTO window (driver) only down not up.
Overral the car should be a bigger hit that what it is right now becasue it deserves every praise it gets it is the way of the future "a people mover that looks good, is handy, pretty and saves gas therefore the environment".
