Purchased As Used
Overall, its what I expected. The 3 rows of bucket seats hold 6 adults, not 4 adults and 2 children. Gas mileage is consistently in the low 20's overall. The sliding doors prevent thoughtless little ones from opening a door into traffic. The ride is too harsh, and it seems to have no traction control. It also needs heated mirrors and tinted glass.
I previously owned an Odyssey EX-L and I guess I may have become spoiled in some ways from its size and many options, but I think the Mazda is too sporty for its intended audience. I got it due to having several small boys and wanted good gas mileage too. It also does not have great headlights or good visibility for close objects and I often find myself taking corners too wide or too short.
Mazda should make it a tad bigger, make the 2nd row a split bench for 3, and at least add a less sporty, more practical, comfortable model to this lineup. I bought it for family use, not as a Boy Racer
