I've had my Mazda5 for some time and have almost 70,000 miles accumulated already (I am an outside sales rep.) My experience with the 5 has been nothing short of falling in love with a vehicle. The size is perfect for parallel parking on crowded city streets, the mileage is phenomenal (provided I don't drive with a lead foot,) the versatility and space inside the vehicle is absolutely amazing, not to mention the comfort of the four forward seats. Build quality is outstanding and everything functions as intended. I was surprised when I first drove the 5...the driving dynamics are incredible. Not at all like a minivan or SUV. I would say that the dyanamics are is close to a sporty mid-size sedan. My main reasons for purchase? One, it's an unbelievable value....out the door loaded for under twenty grand. Two, the availability of a stick shift makes this vehicle irresistible and only enhances an already phenomenal driving expreience. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone and am looking forward to purchasing another one in a year or two. It really is that great!
