- Handles well on ice and snow, my teens think it looks cool.
- I need to buy a luggage rack, but I knew that.
Purchased As New
I bought this car new because it looked European (did see it in Germany this summer), the mileage was hot, I have three kids still at home, and the dealer drove it 100 miles to me to test drive. I was looking at a Town & Country and a Sienna. I justified the squishiness by saving money and then thinking I will rent a full size van the few times a year I would really need one. The first and second row captain seats are crazy comfortable, my six foot husband can fit in comfortably, and I can adjust it for my short self. I don't think it is noisy at all. Amazing handling on my rural roads on snow and ice. Drove home in slick snow last night (25 to 30 mph) and was easy to correct the two times I was pulled around in the slush. Got up steep grades when other cars were slipping - have only had problems when I attempt grades that only should be started by 4 wheel drives. The wipers are automated and infuriating - couldn't get an intermittent slow during the stormy commute last night. I have 2k miles on it and am only getting 26 mpg highway, when I got 30 with my much older Impala. I want 29 or 30 with the space sacrificer. Mechanical engineer husband says that will change with more miles; I'll trade for a Subaru if it doesn't. IDK, maybe I should have bought the AWD Sienna, but this is SO much cheaper and I can still rent a large van for when we have all six kids around. Engineer Man also says Mazda engines are amazing - and he designs for another Japanese firm so he knows. I am going to buy a cargo rack to put on back. Maybe I will learn to love it with some memories.
