I have a 1990 Miata with 285,000 and runs like new. I used Mobile 1 since new changed every 8-10,000 mile. I am going to keep it until the wheels fall off. It is soooo much fun to drive.

- easy to handle and care for. Low maintenance. Very sporty!
- Only rear wheel drive.
I have a 2003 Shinsen version of the Mazda Miata. The curves and color of this beautiful car certainly bring the admiring looks.
Now about function, you would be surprised at how much you can actualy put in the trunk if it's bags and such. Large suit cases don't do well. The soft top is so easy to raise and lower, even from a sitting position. On the hwy this car can really move to pull you out of that bunched up traffic. The heater works so well that on the coldest days I need to keep it on the lowest setting or I'll roast! For those days the top is better left up but is warm out the Ac works just as great as the heat.
I'm very impressed with it's security system as well! I also enjoy the fact that other than an oil change this car has not requird any work!
The design of this car is very well balanced and the way it handles is amazing! So, if your in the market for a two seater sports car, I'd look hard at the Mazda Miata before making your purchase. Happy test driving!...read morehide

- Smoother ride, impeccable handling, lots of little improvements
- Passenger room, field of view to the rear, no donut or spare
The Special Edition (only 750 in the US) is a jewel. Saddle brown leather seats and trim throughout, with blue stiching really sets it off! Very smooth shifting, a softer ride, much better cornering. Has a brushed dark silver piano on the dash, not like the black, fingerprint attracting piano on other Miatas. I like the controls on the stearing wheel, like the audio volume control, mute button, CD track changer which doubles as a radio station selector, and the cruise control. I get amazing pleasure watching Ford Mustangs catch up with me and want to race...ha ha. It's not just Mustang, I see alot of eyes turn to look at my Miata! I think that some people put down the Miata, but they secretly dream of owning one....read morehide

- Wear spots on the seats. Leather/vinyl was not tanned through and it has light beige wear spots.
I have a 1999 Miata and I love it. I bought it new and it's just as good as the day I bought it. It has never been in the shop for any major repairs and I plan to keep it for a few more years. The only complaint I have is the wear areas on the seats. This happened about 6 months after getting the car and it's a result of cheap leather and vinyl. I think for the price of the car, the seats should have been constructed with a high grade leather because the seats aren't really big. Mazda did go cheap in that area....read morehide
