- Best "SUV" fuel economy, Quiet, Handles well
- Seems to need a bit more "ooomph"
Just picked up the HEV 2WD model today at the dealership. Driving it home, as advertised, it got a combined 31.4 mpg city/hwy driving. It feels solid and the interior is quiet. The ride is a bit stiff and going up a steep grade, it seems to need a bit more power. First day, no complaint so far. With gas well over $4 a gallon now, who's fooling who. Traded in my gas hog Jeep which got a whopping 15 mpg. And don't forget the $3000 Hybrid tax credit on this model for 2008! The Toyota's rebates have expired......
I'll report back in a couple of months. But get them now before demand drives the prices up.
