Ms. Pac Man - Rich Boy Gucci Mane

by G. Moon from Melbourne FL 32934 (7/21/08)
Pros:style, interior, interor quality, mileage, radio, acceleration, fun to drive
Cons:power window not standard, ac not standard, driver seat uncomfortable for 6'2',

got it brand new w/7 miles, that day added 50+ miles. its that fun to drive, also gas mileage's like hot sauce; did town drove all day with heavy golf bag in trunk, but my tank still on full

very pleased with interior, though fabric seats. and big, big, i mean big glove compartment, a shoe box could fit in there, or at least shoes. four stock speakers pump bass as it should; cars loud. AUX and mp3 standard on all 08 models. juice dashboard, like watch radios and speedometer glow up at night, u know what i mean

1st gear a bit slow till 2rpm but it catches up on 2, 3, 4 and dose about 60mph in 8 seconds, thats not bad for a sedan. before this i had 01 eclipse gt and im not hungry for more speed. rides like a luxury sedan, rides a tiny bit lighter than 02 camry, low outside noise. driver seat and 1st seat passenger sits more comfortable than 06 matrix

adding extra like air conditioning, power windows, puts it up to out the door price of 17000. im very disappointed with moonroof not available on i-sport trim

well homie catch me zoom zooming by you

GREAT LITTLE CAR

by SILVERFOX from GRTR CINCINNATI AREA (7/14/08)
Pros:GOOD LOOKING, FUN TO DRIVE, VERY GOOD GAS MILEAGE, ZOOMS.
Cons:NO TRUNK RELEASE ON KEY FOB! CHEAP CARPETING

HAD IT ABOUT 2 MONTHS. LOVE IT! COMMUTE 60 MILES DAILY.
GREAT ON GAS. DECIDED ON THE 2.0 ENGINE AFTER HEARING GAS IS ONLY GOING UP. UP UP. (REALLY WANTED THE 2.3) DO NOT FEEL LIKE I'VE 'SETTLED'. I REALLY LIKE THE CAR. SURPRISINGLY, HUSBAND DOES TOO!
LOVE THE HANDLING, MOONROOF AND 6 CD CHANGER. GREAT LITTLE CAR. I HOPE IT CONTINUES TO BE A WINNER FOR THE YEARS TO COME! WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

A wonderful car, I'd recommend it to anyone!

by SueAnn from Marion, NC (7/05/08)
Pros:Sexy, cute and fun to drive!
Cons:No cons here!

We have had this car for one week, and oh, but I love our new car!
It is so good looking, has great pickup and seems to really just sip the gas!
We looked at Toyota and Nissan, and I feel we got a great value for the money.
We're really enjoy the stero, the whole dash looks great, very sporty! The interior is very well put together, the black fabric with just a little red in it looks sporty and classy too. My teenaged son is happy to sit in the back, he says he has plenty of leg room.
The 60/40 split of the back seat insures that even the most akward things will fit in the trunk.

Great Pick, Beats a Civic Hands Down

by Zoom-Zoom from Wisconsin (7/01/08)
Pros:Good fuel economy compared to most cars, smooth ride, quiet, great handling
Cons:None yet

I've seen people writing comments about no remote trunk release. When you unlock the doors, you just pull the handle under the tailgate to open it, or the lever inside the car. Unless you're carrying a lot in your hands I don't see the point of a remote "popper." Also about the so so fuel economy......it's a great performing car that sips gently on the gas, so if you really want a fuel saver, go with a base Civic. This thing drives and conserves while doing so. I test drove everything in this cars class, and nothing compared to the overall quality for your money.

Great car

by Ed Holly from White Haven PA (6/11/08)
Pros:excellent fuel economy, very comfortable seats, fantastic car, drives & handles great, fuel mileage
Cons:no running lights

This is the best car I have ever owned. The handling is fantastic. The engine is smooth and powerful. It delivers excellent fuel mileage and acceleration. Best of both worlds. This car runs and drives much better than my previous car a 2002 Toyota Celica. I get compliments everywhere I go. I would highly recommend this car to anyone looking for super handling, performance and economy. The Quality is also excellent. The car rides smooth and quiet. I am totally satisfied with everything about tjis Mazda. Mazda definitely makes the greatest cars. Thank You for reading my comments, Ed.

Love my new car!!!!!!!!!

by T. in Fort Worth from Ft. Worth, TX (5/29/08)
Pros:Fun to drive!!!!!!! All the extras included. Great MPG. I have been averaging 32+ hwy miles.
Cons:Glove box squeks a bit. Would be nice to have trunk opener on key fob.

This is a great car for the price. You get all the extra features that you have to pay extra for with any other car maker. It handles great and takes the corners like a sports car. I am very pleased with it. Have had it 3 months and no complaints yet besides the glove box squeking a bit. Just like the other Fort Worth Mazda owner, Hillard Mazda is a great dealership. Very friendly and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a Mazda in the Fort Worth area.

Great Value, Great Fun

by DAVID from Seattle area, WA (5/23/08)
Pros:Interior design, overall look, value
Cons:no remote trunk release

I bought my car in Michigan and my son and I drove it back to Washington State. When we arrived at the dealership, my 19 yr old son saw the car sitting there in front and was awestruck. The new color, Metropolitan Gray Mica, the 17" wheels, the 5 speed stick, and the moonroof got him very excited. Same goes for my other teenage son--both think Dad got an awesome car. They also like the mp3 jack and the 6 disc changer, both options that come with the moonroof option.
We drove the 2400+ mile trip back home in a little over 3 days and neither of us was any worse for the wear. The car is smooth and quiet for it's size and the seats were comfortable for both of us. Performance, even with the 2.0 litre engine instead of the upgrade 2.3 litre, is very good and the car corners as well as many "sports" cars out there.
In addition, it comes with lots of little fun features. For example, the 6 disc stereo system (and maybe the other systems available, I don't know) has a little red light band that strobes out when the car is first started and then strobes left or right when turning the volume knob. Not a necessary feature but very cool! Also, at night the dials turn blue with orange lettering which is very unique and, again, looks very cool. In some sense the dash kind of overwhelms you with the color red at night but I like it anyway.
On the road, we got about 32.5 to 33mpg at 65-70mph and 27-29 at 75-80mph. That's not bad but not as good as many small cars.
When I was researching, I narrowed the list down to the Civic EX Coupe and this car (the Corolla looks boring, I already have a Focus for my kids to drive, and nothing else seemed to swing my attention). I bought the Mazda because it was about $1,000 less than I could have gotten the Civic for. Both have essentially the same number of "bells and whistles" but the Mazda is faster and much more fun. And for $1,000, I figure it would take 3 to 4 years to make the Honda come out ahead in gas miileage savings, even at $4 per gallon.
If you're looking for a small car and you don't try this one out, you may be sorry. This is one solidly built and fun automobile.

Great car even better now

by MazdaNnj from Freehold NJ (5/20/08)
Pros:Fun to drive, easy on gas
Cons:none

I've had the iTouring Value for about a month now and I can't find anything negative to say. With the 5spd manual trans I've gotten 34.5 mpg (about 70% highway). Making the side curtain airbags, 17 in wheels and foglights standard make a great car even better. I'm 6ft 230lbs and drivers seat comfort is not an issue. Trunk is a nice size for a car this small. Acceleration - there's plenty, as fast as you can shift from 2nd to 4th gear.
