- Best fuel economy, stunning looks, nice drive
Dreamt of owning a Merc all the time and when it was time to buy a new car couldnt think of anything else than the C300 with the dazzling three point star right on the grill... performance wise its the best car in its class...just drove about 600 miles over the weekend and the fuel economy touched an unbelievable 30 and stayed there... cannot ask for more especially when the gas prices are shooting up... the ride is comfortable too and its true that its not a racing car so no point in pushing it to the hilt and then complaining abt it... opted for 6 DVD changer multimedia system and love it everytime it slides open...Harmon Kardon speakers sound like heaven... though I know that its one of the safety feature but it would have had been fun if there was a way to playback videos on the multimedia system on the drive......read morehide

- Best front seat I could find. Better fuel economy than expected.
- Tan interior not available in sport model
I took delivery on this car in February. It is a 6sp. 300C Sport with 18" AMG Wheels. The Acura TSX had a nice 6sp. but the 300C 6sp is the nicest 6sp I have driven. The performance is better than I expected--seems much quicker the the 300C with auto. I buy a new car every 2 years. I have owned a Nissan Maxima, an Infinity I-30, 2 BMW 530s and an Acura TSX. This car handles better than most of these cars. It is the equal of the 530s. I have taken 1 trip and averaged 32mpg (75mph) and I have never gotten less than 25mpg around town (I do drive most of my miles on the freeway). I considered the Lexus 350 IS but the front seat was not nearly as comfortable, no 6 speed available and there was more road noise. If this car continues to be trouble free it may be the most satisfying car I have owned. The word that best describes it is "Sweet"....read morehide

- Great Features
- Ugly design
I like the inside of the car, but the exterior is far from desired. I had the w203 style and loved the look of it. This style, to me, is horrible looking. It looks no better than a Ford 500. If I am going to buy another Mercedes, I want a car that stands out, not one that looks like a common car. I am very disappointed with Mercedes....read morehide

- Design, handling, style
- SEAT is painful to sit in
I have driven a C class for 8 years and loved it. But I bought the C 300 because of how great it looks and then was blind-sided by a seat that is horribly designed. The lumbar pushes into your back and there is no cushioning on the bottom of the seat leaving you sore in 5 minutes.

- Sharp looks, COMMAND system is nice, Ipod connection
- Reliability issues already in less than 7 months. Cheap interior is falling apart. Bad on gas
I wrote my first review a few months ago in October after having the car a few days. At that point I was so happy and satisfied. Now after 7 months I am totally disappointed. In these 7 months it has been in the repair shop 5 times for various problems. The COMMAND system which I love much better than the iDrive has shorted out. The screen no longer retracted and was replaced under warrnty. The brake rotors have been replaced as well due to warpping but they were not covered under the warranty so I dished out $1100 plus tax. The power driver seat buttons didn't work out and the whole seat was replaced. The 4matic system started to shutter and was towed away. The dealer had to add 3 quarts of oil. The small plastic items on the dash are loose and vibrate. The car was also TOWED from my job when it refused to start. Also, the acceleration is just ok for me but it really is BAD on gas. I was averaging 18 miles to a gallon now it averages 15 or less. I do like the ride and it drives fairly well. It just has not be the most reliable and I am looking to trade in it for a Cadillac CTS which I test drove over the weekend and fell in love with. It also will bring my payments down $60 per month. The C-class is fairly priced for what it is but quality does not come standard....read morehide

- Striking appearance with great styling, smooth and quiet
- Complicated technology, terrible response, horrible MPG
I am in the process of buying a new car under $38,000 and I test drove the C300 Sport today. I have to say I was extremely disappointed. The response was terrible, it's like I had to push down super hard on the accelerator to get it going. The transmission is wack, always shifting when I didn't expect it. I wanted to get a navigation system but that would put the price close to $40,000, if not over it. Not to mention the 18/26 MPG, I could see paying $4000+ a year on gas easily. I am going to get an IS250 or Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan instead....read morehide

- Style, Price, Standard Features,
- Cheap Interior! Road noise - little things that go wrong.
I leased this car on 2/17/08. The car is great but many things have gone wrong with it already. I keep getting this rattling noise from the driver side wheel. Dealer said its normal.. NORMAL? its annoying. My check engine light has been on for 2 weeks now. I really don

First MB and was pretty impressed by the standard features and technology that came with the car. My other option was the Bmw 328 sedan. Although the performance and ride was alot more sporty in the BMW, the Merc offers a pretty sporty and comfortable ride. Plus the standard features, ie bluetooth & power/heated seats, are endless when compared to BMW's standard features (if you want more options the total would've been significantly higher than Merc).
If you want a sporty car go with BMW. If you want a little bit of sport, luxury, and comfort go with Merc.
For the price you pay, you get alot of car....read morehide

- appearance,mercedes benz name, soundsystem,navigation
- mpg, acceleration
It was either a MB 300 or G35, chose the MB because of the name, big mistake. The car makes squeaking noises in stop and go traffic. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything. What do you know. If I had to do it all over again I would of bought the G. The best thing about this car is the quiet cabin and smooth ride on the freeway. Don't buy a car based on the name like I did....read morehide
