- Great MPG!! Everybody has to look at you!
- Back seating capacity, passenger mirror should be auto dimming too
Purchased As Used
This car is a great machine!!!! Great MPG, about 26-28 in Highway. Great response and performance. Mine is charcoal, with Premium 2, Panorama Roof and AMG Wheels. Amazing look in street, almost everybody will look at you in this car. I just left the Multimedia Package because of the cost (Aprox. $4,000 more). Since this is a C-350 the total cost with all those options will be nearly $60,00 here in Puerto Rico. In fact, Multimedia is not as necessary as panorama and P2 for me. Bi-directional Xenon lights rocks!!!...read morehide

- Great Looks, Good Power, Mars Red!
- No back up sensor, no memory seats, pass mirror should be auto-dim
I love the car (c350 sport); I'm hoping that it will be reliable! Honestly, I think some people want too much for the amount of money this car costs. Mine had an MSRP of 45k exactly (paid 41k :) , it had every option, with leather, only I skipped the telaid and pana sunroof. What other car has this good of looks, with leather, Nav, full power, 268 hp, upgraded wheels, that is a premium car? Many of the complaints on power were the 300 model with only 228 hp. At 268hp my car moves well, and has plenty of low end torque.
The styling, and Mars Red looks great. I've seen about 10 08 "C's" on the road, but they have all been in white, black, and some shade of gray. Hope it stays this way; but the car is very quiet, no rattles. Engine sounds great. Driver visability is very good, seats are comfortable, and you can adjust the lumbar if you like. I didn't find the seats uncomfortable as one person indicated (more cushioning than my prior Audi's hard seats).
All the comments about cheap interior? I think it looks fine, and the leather is nice; no mb tech for me. I also like the black birdseye maple.
So, like I said above, I love the car; the real test will be in how reliable it is after I've put some mileage on it....read morehide

- Great for the money, I brought the sport 350 for my wife she crazy about it!
- Rides a little rough,
This Car is in a Class of in it's own. Someone said it's not a race car and it as not built to be one.... if you want a good car try it! Like Mercedes said they promised us a Mercedes.

- So far so good. Feels nice and tight. Good power.
- Maybe the audio control range is not as strong as I expected.
First car with a seat and headrest that actually fits good to the body including the head rest. Your head will not fall off if you try to use it.
A feedback to our friends in Germany will be on the audio system. I opted for the $2,950 Multi Media package 2. Several items are included with this including upgraded audio system. The sounds is good but not as punch as I expected. The sub-woofer frequency level and adjustment range is not as strong as I expected. I can seriously confirm that my GM work truck has better and wider bass range adjustments. For an "upgraded multi media" I also expected to see a separate control for the mid-range frequency, one for the high treeble frequencies, and one for bass. Instead they combined mid and treeble in one control. An equalizer control would have been the right set up to be able to get the best sound of the media package system.
If the C350 was my primary driving car, I would be making changes to correct this situation, but since it is a secondary use vehicle, then it is not necessary.
Highway driving is a pleasure. Only 1,000 miles now but the gas mileage is improving. It started @22 mpg but now it is clocking about
25 mpg. I'll report more later....read morehide

- The BIG Star on the Grill!
- Spent 42K for a car with too many plastic parts;
What a disappointment! I waited several months for my Black on Black C-350 to arrive only to find out that MB trimmed it out much more inferior to my previous cars: Infinity and Acura...which by the way, cost about 10K less! It's a good looking car at a distance, but as an owner I couldn't believe MB uses plastic door locks (they even did this on the 150K SLR! I thought that paying for the STAR meant quality craftsmanship and an automobile that would last years beyond it's competitor. The "Autobahn Quality" wipers are a complete farce. Disappointing..........read morehide

- Easy to use navigation system, Voice commands work really well, smooth ride. good mileage.
- Steering wheel and ac control knobs feel cheap.
Coming out of a clk500 i expected the performance to be lacking. however, the ride is much more comfortable, 28mpg on the highway. Great styling. The multimedia package is wonderful.. very easy to use.

- Good interior layout; decent interior space; smooth on unbroken highway; prestige without the price
- Horrific fuel economy; various small quality issues; transmission hiccups; questionable reliability
I picked up an early Xmas present for my wife last October but unfortunately she doesn't like the car as much as I thought she would so we swapped cars- she takes my Lincoln MKX and I take the Mercedes.
We both like the way it looks- classy and substaintial looking especially in black over black. The interior is well thought out but we don't like the navigation controls which are a headache to operate so we gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
The interior space is very good and the seats are comfortable and supportive but quality is lacking. We both don't like the quality of some materials which are very cheap and plasticy. By comparision my teenage son's Ford Focus has better quality materials- no joke. The glovebox is one example- it does not close fully and is uneven.
It drives smooth on the highway but sound from the suspension permeates the cabin on broken surfaces a lot more than we like. Ride quality around town is only ok. The engine is smooth but it drinks a ton of oil and the dealer said they don't know why these engines are burning so much oil. The transmission is a problem area. Some shifts are smooth and some are harsh. It never shifts when you expect it. The dealer reprogrammed something and it helped for about a week. Then the transmission would not shift from park to drive and the module was replaced due to faulty wiring but the harsh shifts still occur. Also we average only 17.2 MPG which is very poor for a V6 mid-size car. Our Lincoln MKX gets 19.8 and it is a SUV with all wheel drive.
The sunroof started to leak in the car wash. We made sure it was closed 100% but it still would drop and few drops from time to time- not a river, but a few drops. Nonetheless, a sunroof should never leak period. It was replaced per our request. So far ok.
The rear suspension was tightened by dealer on a regular check-up. Dealer said they need to redesign suspension system. Also on the same day, the engine control unit was replaced due to faulty wiring. The dash lighting was checked for a short- dealer found a burned circuit relay and it was replaced a week later.
We have just over 8000 miles.
This is not what we expected from a Mercedes. This is our first Mercedes and our last Mercedes as we are not satisfied with the vehicle. The dealership is very good and they go out of their way to appease us. Too bad because we bought a CAR and not a CUSTOMER SERVICE PLAN- we would rather have a good reliable car with a poor dealership experience than a poor unreliable car and an excellent dealership experience. Good Luck if you choose to buy a Mercedes for the name!...read morehide

- Good look, smooth & comfortable ride, 7-speed auto transmission
- Too much road noise for its class, not as engaging as BMW's 3-series, interior feels cheap
Looks great, feels bigger than it's actual size, smooth V-6, great auto transmission, smooth ride. Great price, lots of features included as standard (pay $$ more in BMW 3-series)
Road noise is intrusive for a class of this class, interior & control buttons look and feel cheap. Handling and performance not up to it's BMW rival.
Could be a perfect car if you're not a driving enthusiast. Otherwise, get a BMW 335i (for $ more)....read morehide

- Real Mercedes luxury, real Mercedes handling, non Mercedes price
- Non Mercedes performance, non Mercedes looks
It's what the level of luxury, classic german handling, and pleasing price is what makes this a great Mercedes to buy.
But the weak performance and untraditional appearance doesn't make this a real Mercedes.
Still, Mercedes Benz enthusiasts will want to buy this luxury sedan. But some of those enthusiasts will regret it once they find out it's weak and not the prettiest car in the world....read morehide

- Great highway cruiser, quiet and smooth. Great seats. Good interior room. Good layout.
- Materials below par. POOR fuel efficiency. Electrical problems. Depreciation rates questionable.
Bought this to replace my BMW 330. Its smooth, quiet and comfortable. The look is ok but somethine feels unfinished about the whole thing. There is plenty of room even for big people. Simple and clean interior design. The engine is smooth and the transmission generally smart but shifts are abrupt at times. The response is very good.
Thats where the compliments end and I didn't know it would be such a step down in quality.
The materials of the dash are just too plasticy, something I did not notice when I first bought the car. Now, the glove box is broken, the Nav screen does not retract, the interior lighting has 3 shorts in different locations.
Fuel efficiency is not that great either. I only average 16 mpg and thats mostly highway. My BMW did much better at 21.
I briefly looked at a Cadillac CTS and loved the interior and the quality of the CTS was superior to that of this Mercedes, something I never thought I would say! But I could get the CTS I wanted without waiting at least 1 month as they are selling like hot cakes so I settled for this MB. I've owned Mercs in the past and they were state of the art. This one seems to be a few steps behind- an unfinished school project. Would I recommend this to anyone? No. Would I buy a Merceds again, perhaps but only if they lower the price 10% and if depreciation rates get a little better....read morehide
