Best in its class... super fast, elegant, sporty, great handling etc. In a race it beats a M3 easily. I beat my brother every time. This car is so beautiful and the bucket seats are so nice. The navigation system is so much better. I am not driving a car...I am driving a MERCEDES BENZ

This is my fourth Mercedes. I've had the zippy SLK350, an E350, and the heavy ML350. Overall I am satisfied with the C250 I have had for six months now, but with the Cons I noted, I just expected more from Mercedes. While the safety features are amazing and I will never have another car without Blind Spot Assist, it’s the other details missing that make me just scratch my head.
Firstly, for a car that can easily be priced over 40k depending on your features, why in the world would the passenger seat by manual? As my sister said when she was in it, "You have everything possible on this car, and you don't have a power seat!" My thoughts; exactly! Additionally, while this is a coupe, and the rear passenger seats aren't meant to be the most comfortable, I do find the ones on the C250 to be comparable to a coach seat on an airline.
Lastly, the one unforgiving thing that has me wanting to ditch this car as soon as possible is the Turbo Lag coming from a complete stop. There have been too many close calls due to this. Acceleration coming from a "go" is fantastic, but when you need to make that quick turn from a stop, this car simply falters. Sport mode only mildly improves this issue. I have reached out to Mercedes regarding this. My thought is that the stability control needs an update as it is not calibrated correctly. My Honda Civic from years past had more punch from a stop. (Granted, after 20 feet it would be left in the dust of the C250 once the Turbo kicked in.)
In hindsight, I should have put the car through the paces more before I purchased it. Also, I know better than to get a first year run of a brand new model, but I did in this case. I’m sure the turbo lag will be resolved for the next model year....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- good power and quiet ride
- Cons
- Turbo Lag and placement of the cruize control lever
Purchased As New
When going down the road at like 30MPH and then trying to get into traffic there is tremondous "turbo lag" that almost gives you the feeling the car is flooding out, and then it catches and take off.
++ the cruize control lever is on the wrong side and I kept using if as if it is the directional indicator....read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Good fuel economy. Fit & finish of the car is exceptional.
- Cons
- Ride is a bit taunt. Some turbo lag.

Just traded my 2011 Audi A4 quattro in on a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250. It has the 1.8L 4 cylinder turbo. The car drives very nicely and the fuel economy is very good. I feel that the Audi A4 engine had less or no noticeable turbo lag and this engine seems to have more. The fit & finish of the car is exceptional but so was the Audi. I hope being a rear wheel drive that I have no issues with driving in snow during the winter....we'll see.Other than that the car is very nice. But the Audi was very nice also....read morehide

- Pros
- GREAT fuel economy, sweet exterior, fast as h#**, Benz class
- Cons
- Blind spot, must agree with others on that one

I had a 2005 CLK320, then a 2009 big, bad boy 550CLK convertible prior to this 2-door sporty coupe. I wanted another convertible, but the $72K price tag was ludicrous. This coupe has the roof that goes all the way back and is glass for the whole roof, Close enough I said to the drop top. It's fast, small lag, but for double my gas mileage and half my gas expenditures per month, a lower car payment and a brand new car, SOLD! I love all the new technology, speak to the car to do everything, call someone, go somewhere, would love it to find songs... It finds you restaurants and hotels and tells you if there is traffic on your route and shows you a alternate route. It wakes you up if you doze off-yes! The two seats in the back fold down for more space in the back. I mean they thought of everything those Germans! It has more leg and head room than the CLK as well. My two daughters said its much more roomy and two cup holders for them and two up front. It's a perfect car. I mean for Pete's sake the Hyndai Genesis is THE SAME price... Mercedes outdid itself in this car! LOVE IT,...read morehide

- Pros
- Good fuel economy. Style. Performance.
- Cons
- A bit noisy than C300. Turbo lag is noticed. 1.8L turbo engine needs to prove reliability.

Trade in my 2010 C300 for this Red Mars beauty. Great style and redesigned interior. 4cyls 1.8L turbo needs to refine and prove to be reliable as turbo engine was proved to be less reliable compares to natural aspirated engine. I wished Mercedes redesign the old V6 3.0L with a direct fuel inject and installed it into this new improved body and interior to make the C-class a real new winner....read morehide

I just traded in a 2010 C300 for the C250 (I know, I'm nuts) and the car is vastly improved. While I went form a V6 to a V4 I have to say I notice no difference and actually I like the way the new car handles better. I don't feel any sluggishness and when the turbo kicks in, wow, it's zippier than the C300. I also think there is a good deal of interior improvements. First, the navigation system actually works well. My C300 navigation was terrible and often sent me on crazy routes and did not stack up to a $100 portable navigation system. That's changed with the C250. The navigation works as expected and the media interface is full of bells & whistles plus that pop up door cover is gone. The iPod adapter is no longer in the glove box but in the center console which is much more handy.
I'm very happy with the changes, there's a noticeable improvement between the C300 and the C250.
Oh and I got 420 miles to my first tank of gas. That's an average of 28 mpg. I did a combo of freeway and city driving but I can honestly say on the C300 I would just break 300 and need to refuel....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.
