- My wife wants one too!
- It's a thirsty car only because of my petal to the metal

After six months of debating between a Corvette,Audi A7,BMW 65CI- I visited the Mercedes Benz of Austin and test drove A Black CLS550 that would eventually bear my Texas vanity tag 3RDQTR-This car "rocks". Between the AMG package and my model wife---Life does not get much better!

- Sleek looking car that is a wonder to own and drive
- It is a little sluggish until it warms up in the morning.

This is an absolute awesome car to drive. It is very responsive on the freeway and I have had no problems except for having to learn how to operate all the new "bells and whistle" with the new electronics. Every week I seem to discover something new that makes me love my CLS 550 even more. I will definitely recommend this fabulous car to all those that can afford luxury in their life....read morehide

- Amazing looks, power, feel.

I bought this car last year brand new fully loaded with AMG out the showroom. I bought it initailly for me but then decided to give it to my mother. When I drive it, I feel like I'm in heaven. I'm 6 foot 5 250 pounds and fit perfect. I cant get enough of the looks. When i gave this car to my mother, she kept complaining, but once she drove it. she said shel never drive another car again. Amazing car....read morehide

I have put 20,000 miles on my CLS, still the same set of tyres. Mine comes with dynamic chair which is even better with the drive. I do not feel my CLS has more blind spot than a normal car, but the window is a little small when I need to pick up the parking ticket from the attendance. Brake did make some noise initially when I step on the brake, and it was later identified as the sound of air pressure from the drum, and the fix was quick and settled. I think I could keep this car for a long time as the design is unique by itself, and the recent facelift is minor as compared to the 2005 model....read morehide

- Unique, rock solid feel, sporty, sexy
- Visibility, tire wear
I bought this with the AMG Sport, Convenience, Comfort, Lighting, and NAV packages, no Parktronic. I love the look and feel of this car, plenty of power, no mechanical issues, feels very solid and corners well. The car feels molded to me when I get into it, and I love the looks I get on the road...you don't see many of these. If you get one, spend a little extra for the chrome AMG wheels, they really set it off. As for that other review regarding $2,200 for tires, go to tire rack, I just checked and OEM tires delivered are $310 each. You will go through them in 12K miles, as they can't be rotated as the rear wheels on an AMG are an inch wider than on the front. If you don't want to drop $90K, I have seen very low mileage 2007 CLS 550's in the mid to high $50's. This is my Summer car, and my Winter car is a Benz ML...and I still take it out in the Winter on nice days because I can't stand not driving it!...read morehide

- Good Looks, Great handling
- None so far
With 382hp this car doesn't just take off, it launches.
Adjustable ride height, comfort and sport modes change the shift points and the suspension firmness, traction control can be turned on or off.
One finer point about heated and "cooled" seats, cooled means you can turn on a ventilating fan in the seat bottom and back, not actually cooled in my book.
Regarding gas mileage... on short trips or around town expect under 20mpg, interstate driving at speeds of 65-80 I've consistently experienced 25mpg+...read morehide

- Smooth ride, beautiful car, sorners like it's on rails:)
- Had to replace the breaks 3 times in 2 years!
I had a love/hate relationship with this car. I had a lot of problems with the transmission. Sometimes when i would drive the gear would switch to neutral. It was scary.

- A True German car! Great on the highway with a feeling of rock solid quality.
- Only 4 seats but you know that going in so not a factor.
My 3 rd. benz and one I can keep and enjoy for a long time. It does everthing well and has a style you don't see everyday. I love the low roofline as it limits the "Green House" sun problem and is completely different then anything the Japanese pretenders offer.
Like all German cars it's built as a reflection of the way cars are driven on roads without speed limits where accident survival means a lot of usefull engineering devoted to more then just style....read morehide
