2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
There are 5 user reviews for the E550 Sport Sedan trim shown below
- Excellent handling and interior detail.
- Navigation is not touch screen like the Lexus.
Pay the extra for the 550 vs. the 350 if you can afford it, the power it delivers is turly amazing. The 550e is the biggest engine in the smallest body style produced. To get something larger you would have to move up to the 600 or the AMG's. I have the P1, P2 with tje panorama roof and the AMG "style" package which is worth the $2k since it gives the car a completely different look and feel. I purchased mine from Fletcher Jones in Newport about $350. under invoice, I think they are slow in selling cars lately.
Notes: good and bad
the paddle shifters are odd to use, it feels like your always in the wrong gear, I rarely use them.
the FM radio tunder does not display the song title and info., like it does when using the Sirius sat. radio. (my Toyota's stock radio does it)
to use the hands free phone system you have to purchase the hadnsfree adapter which sells for $350-$400 from the dealer. The Lexus does not require any addtl. adapter.
the leater interior smells and looks amazing, a friend purchsed a Lexus and thought they had real "leather" until the were in mine.
the car does have a bit firmer ride with the performance package, the extra AMG style package is worth it just for the AMG wheels and front bumper.
