Great car! I traded a nice GLK for this car and have not regretted it except when I have to haul our big dogs to the vet! Looks great- hauls @#$, good gas mileage, and has tons of great toys on it. I love the nav system and the stereo!

- Pros
- Comfort and Economy
- Cons
- Nor parking sensors as standard feature
Purchased As New
Coming from a 2010 E550 coupe this was a slight adjustment. Overall decent power, extremely comfortable, gauges and features well thought out. Vehicles in this class should come with parking sensors front and rear, (understand rear has camera still think sensors should be standard). Definitely not out doing race track driving but for the normal drive this car is quite nice. Decent balance between function/comfort and performance....read morehide

- Pros
- Good car, good mpg, decent power for full size sedan overall
- Cons
- Voice system is too elaborate.Issue with crispy noise under the center console during rough terrain.
Purchased As New
Enjoy the car overall, no issues aside from the static noise under the center console when on rough terrain. Otherwise, comfy, fast enough, spacious, and looks good. Will be getting a hybrid one as well. If you can't afford it, don't get it but if you can, you'll enjoy it.

- Pros
- Oveall good looks, simple and neat controls, column shift is a wonderful feature.
- Cons
- Driver's seat is just too small and too tight around the side bolsters.
Purchased As New
I'm only 5'10," 150 lbs and find the seat too uncomfortable. You always feel it grabbing you around the ribs. No other MB vehicle seat does this..not even the SL. Just what were they thinkin?? I probably should have opted for the optional active multicontour driver seat with adjustable lumbar supports and side bolsters.
Anyway, They tell me I'll get use to it and I'm still waiting. Does anyone else have this problem? If it continues, I'll probably dump it and go back to Lexus next year....read morehide5 out of 5 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Fabulous Bi-Turbo V-8 engine/ AirCap and AirScarf are incredible
- Cons
- Nothing that I can find.
Purchased As New
I researched and test drove virtually every sub-$70K cabriolet/convertible on the market that had a 400+ HP V-8. This car is solid as a rock, perfectly linear throttle response (no turbo-lag), perfectly mated 7-speed Mercedes-made automatic, incredible exterior and interior quality. When you close the door, its like closing a bank vault. Exceptional features to this car include the AIRCAP system which rises up and keeps the wind from blowing your hair. AIRSCARF provides a band of warm air on your neck. The 3-layer convertible top is as quiet up as a closed-roof sedan. The handling and braking are superb. The ride is phenomenal. Want to get sporty? Just press the SPORT button and the shocks firm-up, and transmission goes into a sport shift pattern, AND you can manually shift through the gears. The Harmon Kardon Logic7 stereo is even better than the Bowers & Wilkins in my Jaguar. BMW's offering was $100K nicely equipped (6 series), Jaguar XKR was over $100K. This has a back seat so less insurance cost - AND - a usable back seat. My selling dealer is Mercedes-Benz Laguna Niguel in Orange County of California. I have bought many cars there. You can negotiate a little but this car is in hot demand and short supply. They also make a 306 HP V-6 version called the E350, which is outstanding and they sell/lease the most of. Depends on what you want. I have a website on my car: www.mercedes-benzE550cabriolet.com. My dealers website is: www.MBZ direct.com...read morehide

Have had 2 E Class Mercedes, a 430 and a 550, the 550 being exceptional car. This particular year and model is in demand and we eneding up buying the lease. As far as expense? I have a Chevrolet Camaro and found it is more expensive to maintain than the Mercedes... Rear brakes on a Camaro is 650.00 vs 500.00 Mercedes......read morehide

Blue tooth phone is a joke. bind spot in mirrors works sometimes. navigation gets itself lost in remote places. back up camera makes it impossible to judge distance going back. lane tracking had to be turned off, because they could not fix it to work corrertly, also had to turn off stay awake system. most of the computerized extras are NOT worth the price. they don't work 50 % of the time. Let me start by saying this is an awesome car. My husband surprised me with this car – what I considered a wonderful late b-day gift...the best one ever. It is sleek, elegant, spacious and w/ lots bells and whistles. I have not yet tried many of the features the car has, but so far it’s been good to me. My husband it's amazing for giving me such a wonderful gift....read morehide

- Pros
- Appearance; options; luxury; solid ride; safety features; room
- Cons
- Usual Mercedes drawbacks (cost of maintenance and repairs, etc.)

This is my first MB and my wife's second. I have only had it for a short time, so I will update this posting should it be necessary later. We have two young children, and the backseats offer plenty of space for front-facing carseats. I doubt a rear-facing seat does too well, but I don't need it.
The ride is smooth, and the cockpit is quiet at highway speeds. I have not learned how to use all the bells and whistles, but the safety features are outstanding (e.g. car wakes you up if you are dozing and anticipates hard braking).
As far as styling, if you like the old school Mercedes feel with modern features and power, this is it. The exterior is sleek and sporty, and the Mercedes emblem is on a hood ornament and not in the grille as what appears to be a rodeo belt buckle on other models such as the C-Class. The interior is elegantly simple, and the controls do not appear daunting (but again, we have not attempted to learn everything yet).
Finally, it is my wife's car and she loves it. She has certainly "earned" the right to love her car, and she does. That alone makes the car a great value....read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
