- Great Overall SUV.
This is a great SUV. In everyway: Looks, they have maintained the same classy look for years and for good reason it's classic and original. People who say this car is ugly obviously know nothing about cars, and only care about cars to make them look good. They shouldn't care about this car in the first place and should get a life and stop making comments about it. I enjoy the fact that not everyone likes the look of this car or rappers would be buying this SUV, dropping it down and make a fool of it. (ex: what happened to the Cadillac Escalade) This car is made for off road, not for show, although it could very well suceed in it. I love hummers, my uncle owns an H2, but the G550 out performs the H2. If you are a serious off roader, than you need a vehicle for all elements. The Hummer H2 does great but in snow, my friends barebone 2003 Saturn Vue could perform better. The H2 is just too big, and it's not necessary for off roading. The G-Class is just the right size, not too heavy for certain terrain, and not too small where you don't have any interior room. When you're driving in the wilderness, chances are you aren't going to go with your whole family and your grandparents (which you would have room for in the H2). You need a car that won't get you stuck between two trees. As for performance, if it out performs a hummer that's good enough for me to give it 5 stars. And comfort? From experience, this is the most comfortable vehicle I've ever felt. The new line of Mercedes-Benz and their interiors are amazingly comfortable, this isn't the only one that's comfortable. The ride is a little stiff though, as in most SUVs and trucks. But judging from the interior, with the car shut off and in park, I could live in it. We need to ignore the reviews from young kids, who's only vehicle they've driven is their own 1987 Pontiac. I love the fact that they're interested in cars, but they aren't the best people to take advice from. If you need to look like a celebrity, buy the Escalade, if you want an exceptionally perfect SUV for the tough terrain, Get the Mercedes-Benz G-Class....read morehide
