- I have none, Gets a lot of looks.
I always wanted a G 500 and my husband finally got me one. I love my G wagon, I wouldn't trade it for any other the car.

- highly optioned standards, timeless appeal-cannot go out of style, was never in style
- do not own this car without a comprehensive warranty
I have an 02 Silver/Black G500. As a car "junkie" I normally swap vehicles every two to three years. I am coming up on my three year anniversary in the G and cannot even consider selling it. It is a very special vehicle and you only need to drive it once to understand this. I have owned 911 Carreras, BMWs and other domestic luxury cars and yet nothing has ever "fit" as well as the G. I see ten or more Range Rovers for every one G that I see on the road....I like this aspect of exclusivity. My one recommendation: do not own without comprehensive, bumper to bumper warranty coverage...this car gets it's fair share of "sick days." Get solid medical coverage for it and you will have the peace of mind and cost savings that will make your overall experience a pleasure. Like a previous reviewer, I intend to keep this until 2010, at which time I will trade up to the last production year G....read morehide

- the look, the stares, the class
- 11 mpg, it rides like a luxury truck, fairly unreliable
I have had my silver G500 for the last 4 years and will replace it with the 2010 model when it comes out in its final year. This car/truck is a keeper. It has massive presence, is a head turner and forever displays the Mercedes Benz class and elegance. Just make sure you have a reliable dealer near by who is happy to give you nice rentals cause this baby loves being in the shop. Its fast too. Make sure you get the extended warranty although its not as comprehensive as it used to be. I'm looking at the 2008 S550 for the wife when it comes out but frankly I wouldnt trade cars with her. This car/truck is second to none....read morehide

- Very comfortable with a full load of features, rugged, powerful and very unique design
- A real fuel hog. Sunroof doesn't have glass
I've owned three (3) Range Rovers which I really like, but bought the G-Wagon because of proximity to the dealer. Both vehicles are excellent. However, there are two (2) big differences. Fiest, the Range Rover needs to improve quality which isn't a biggie if you trade-in before the warranty expires. Second, I think the Range Rover is a real sexy looking machine, BUT I've never been so unnerved by the attention the G-Wagon musters. It's a real head turner!...read morehide

- one of a kind, excellent drive, sexy looks, and a true classic
- gas guzzler, and pricey
This car is a beuity, and living in a city that has bad roads, it was perfect pick. Power and handeling is supereb and since you do not see a lot of it on the streets makes even so special. If you are in your mid 30's or over this is the car to own as first or a second car
