"It is a shame a mercedez car like glk does not have an alert light when any of the doors is open. any simple other car has this item which is very important mostly when you have women or children in the back seat. Onother important item that my glk does not have is the navigating sign of North, South, West, East. these two items are simple and they come in most simple cars that are not luxury like it is said to be mercedez, shame on this car. Now when I have my children in the back I have to check the doors from outside, ridiculous!" I have seen many bad reviews like this one but people just don't pay any attention. If a door is left open then the screen inside the spedometer lights up red and tells you which one. And there is a compass in the rear view mirror. Other people have claimed that it has poor brakes. The stopping distance is 119ft from 60 to 0. That is 121ft better than average. On top of that they also gently rub the disks when to wet to keep them dry and working and if you lift off the accelerator quickly the will move closer to the disks so you have immediate response. The brakes also shouldn't make noise if they do than they probably had been worked on and no copper grease had been added to the brake pads after resulting in noise and faster wear. This has been the best car, I have had no problems with it at all in 50k miles. A for sure must buy!
